Excellent speedy communication beforehand. Great clean room, separate WC/Shower, table + 2x chairs to plan the next day, great breakfast in the mornings,outstanding coffee. The only constractive criticism is the beds need new firm matresses, ok I am of advanced age, but a softy soft bed does not give you a good night sleep. Having said that,I wd return and can also highly recommend this place.

Marathon weekend in Tallinn
In Tallinn for the marathon weekend and the football. Great central location for the old town and all buses, trams and shops etc. The hotel is basic, but it states that on the page. The staff are all nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy and the shared toilet and shower rooms are all kept clean and tidy. There is plenty of breakfast available and always being topped up. For what you pay, its a great place for a short stay.

Hotel with secure parking
Situated in quiet area with secure parking some 20 minutes walk from old town. Room had very small bathroom with no wash-hand basin.

Good quality stay at affordable price
Three days at the center of old town went quite good and the location was not too far from the harbour. Hotel was comfortable location wise and facilities wise.

comfortable bed but room smelt of foot odour. nice selection for breakfast at a good time. quiet place to stay but it was 20 minutes walk from EVERYWHERE. would not have liked to be out at night in this area. quite expensive for room with shared bathroom compared to others.

Hotel Dorell Budget Accommodation Review
The decor and carpet are original with horrible brown tiles throughout reminiscent of the Soviet period. The breakfast is basic with cordial type fruit juice, (not real). The location is not ideal and it is hard to find initially as it's tucked in a side street. The staff are polite and helpful however, and it is clean. It's budget accommodation priced accordingly.

The stuff were nice and kind!!! Cost performance was not bad. I arrived very early before general check-in but could come into the room. Also I had to check out early morning and the room included breakfast, so I asked the stuff that I'm able to take something for breakfast or not..then they gave me a sandwich, water bottle and snack. In addition, if you are going to Helsinki afterwards, this hotel located near by ferry port it takes 15min on my foot and not far from old town. Only one thing I complain about wifi wasn't good connection.

Great base to explore city, outdated room decor
I stayed in 2 different rooms for 2 nights each either side of a conference. First room - 208 has pretty dark decoration. The beds are very comfy and clean. There's no air conditioning so on hot days it got very hot. It's a 2 minute walk to a supermarket which is great. Because the rooms back onto the back of the supermarket it is incredibly noisy in the morning with delivery vans etc. Quiet in the evening though. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Next room 207 was much better decorated and the bathroom was nicer. Bathrooms are small and basic but shower pressure was brilliant. Breakfast is pretty good. If you're looking for a cheap base to explore Tallinn (rather than spending much time in your room) I would definitely recommend it as it's not far from the Old Town.

I went for a weekend and stayed at this hotel. The set up with the bathroom and shower was not what I expected, but everything was clean (though a bit worn). The room was moderately comfortable, but not luxurious. Great for the price though!

We was staying on the second floor and there the rooms is very cold espesially in winter and also there a smoking room on the second floor so for the peaople who is not smoking there is terrible smell on the all the floor.The heating system not working on maximum even outside is -19 . Good hostel (not hotel) for those who gonna travel by ferry from terminal D.

hot water was a disaster. Climbing stairs -4 flights = hell. Apt. was nice. Traffic was noisy even with winter sealed windows closed. Building was extremely run down! Hot water a nightmare which they attempted to fix but was then barely acceptable. I had such a good time in Minsk that it didn't bother me so much in the end. Now , in Riga I am finally clean. Lol . The people were nice everywhere. So it's hard to be angry.

The condition and services of this hotel match with the room price. It has probably one of the cheapest room prices in Tallinn, and everything is so-so. For location, it is a 15-min walk to the old town and a 5-min walk to a big supermarket, but it is not easy to find when you first arrives. The hotel lies within the residential area so it is quiet. For room condition, I've got a single ensuite and it was fine. The room looked a bit old but all the basic facilities were there. For services, it had a 24-hour front-desk and the staff was helpful. Just use simple English to communicate. Normal breakfasts.

Smelly and depressing rooms
The rooms were very smelly. As soon as we went in the corridors it was smelly. Toilets were untidy and smelled a lot. It could have been much more cleaner. Although it was bright sunny outside, there was a depressing feeling once we entered the hotel. Instead of staying in this hotel for cheap/economy rooms I would rather pay some more and get decent rooms. Breakfast was reasonably good. Location was good although due to roadworks public transport access was not easy. Terminal A port is 15-20 min walk.

A no-frills budget hotel
The location of the hotel is great in relation to the port, but the area around it is pretty run down. I was surprised to note I had booked a room with shared bathroom and shower. Take care to look at the room details when booking. Room was adequate, not fancy and the complimentary breakfast followed suit. Nothing wrong with either of them though, so we were pleased with a reasonably priced one night's stay. Reception personnel spoke English well enough to get by.

I was quite happy with this choice... great location, close to port and city centre, clean and quiet hotel. Did not expect any services, but was surprised by the very good breakfast, included in the price. The staff was extremly helpfull.

Appealing cute retro kitsch factor
This far from the most lavish hotel you'll ever see, but it's got character. The rooms all look like 1970s kids bedrooms with wallpaper patterns of yesteryear and decor choices one doesn't normally associate with a hotel. My room came complete with pink floral wallpaper and a framed painting of a fairy on the wall, which made me laugh. The room is just a bedroom, the bathroom is in the corridor and shared with a couple other rooms. The breakfast buffet did not have a huge selection, but I liked what was offered and it got the job done. The staff were really friendly and always made me feel welcome. So if you want a good location, enjoy some kitschy decor, and don't demand anything too modern or plush, then this is a decent choice.

Good hotel but tricky to find
A little hidden away behind some similar looking apartment buildings. Within walking distance from the ferry terminal and the Old Town. Clean, quiet, and friendly staff too!

Decent place, but I was in their "bargain" room with shared facilities. These were fine, but no more than 2 or 3 nights (unless you're a backpacker). Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast.
