The room was spacious and clean. The king size mattress was very comfortable. I loved that the shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. This is very Eco friendly and comes in handy. Also, we have been to many hotels so far in Tallahassee but this shower has been the most spacious we have ever had during our hotel stays. My husband is 6'4 so he really appreciated it. The only thing was that the outside of the hotel needs a coat of paint but other than that we have been very satisfied.

The Lodge is a step back in time, no TV's, no cell service, no toiltries, & no computers but so pristine in its 1930's state & the manatees, birds & jumping fish were superb to watch. I felt sorry for the staff. I watched many do double duty due to other staff not showing up. But they all had good spirits & are crossed trained whether they like it or not! The food was to die for; never have i had fried chicken with eggs & hashbrowns for breakfast but pending a day of tailgating my first FSU game I thought it was a good idea and it was! You also must remember it is a State Park & not a resort.

Rooms are clean, hotel staff brings new towels/toiletries every morning. The only problem is it's location. It is across the street from a strip of bars so the loud, drunk patrons can be heard from inside the rooms. Other than the noise, which isn't the hotel's fault, no complaints.
