We did not stay at the property. When we arrived the room smelled like smoke (we booked a non smoking room. ) The sheets were stained with blood and cigarette holes and there was mold. You advertise that there is daily breafast and we were told at the property there is no breakfast. We had to leave and get another hotel. We were told by the property to request a refund through expedia.

When we arrived we were told it was new management, and so there was no breakfast. They did give us a few snackpacks, but nothing resmbling breakfast, and we then found the whole place was pretty awful. Locks didn't work, dirty, pool shut, and really, apart from the nice greeting, and the cheap price, there really wasn't anything good about this.

Bed sheets were dirty. Toilet flush was broken. My key magically stopped working and they needed to replace it. There was a crushed cockroach on the ceiling. No soap in restroom.

If Expedia and Choice Hotels do not drop this hotel, they are looking to be sued. Most of the rooms there are filthy, broken doors, unfunctional, and we found out that they are rented to locals who may have lots of issues. I have pictures, hopefully, I could upload. NO ONE SHOULD BE SUBJECTED TO WHAT WE HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED AT THAT HOTEL.When I asked the hotel attendant, why is this place look so run down, the answer was"Each person have different standards". I juyst needed a clean room with a shower. Not much to ask. Please do not book with this hotel

Got there after booking and there was a note on the office door saying call for help. Called the number and the lady said were full no rooms available and hung up I double checked reservation to make sure I was at the right place and sure enough I was. Called the number again and no answer! Finally after a few tries same lady answers and says that my problem is with Expedia for booking me the room and she won’t help me out Billboard sign said under new management Can’t imagine they will be there long Not friendly at all

I mean listen, you definitely get what you’re paying for here… the property IS under new management and staff are definitely trying to make the property better. The lady at the desk was very nice and the other staff that I met as well. No shower curtain in the shower, you have to bring your own towels, lamps are definitely old but have new lampshades, and the sheets aren’t the newest but they suffice. I think this property has potential in the next 6-12 months but right now it’s definitely rough. There is also no refrigerator, microwave, or anything like that in the unit. Still, no real issues with our stay save for some quality of living issues.

I killed some 50 roaches in 3 nights. The sink leaked onto the floor when used. The toilet flapper was broken. There were only two lamps, one had to be unplugged to be turned off. The floors were disgusting. The tv was broken. The pool outside was green and half filled. The sign coming into the hotel said “we’re better than we were”, I cannot imagine what it “was” like. I tried to check out at 9:30am, there was no staff and a call number on the door. I called it, no answer. I waited until 10:30 before leaving (unsure if I was all paid up). I didn’t hear back from staff until 1:30pm. I should have realized a $50 a night stay was going to be too good to be true, but man I don’t know how they are in business.

The room had bugs, no toilet paper, filthy floors. When I tried to contact the staff, office was locked up, no one answered the phone number that was provided and you could not leave a message! It was horrible! Did not feel it was in a safe area either. NEVER AGAIN!

It looks like the property is under staffed. Only one front desk and one employee for maintenance. The housekeeping is not managed well. This is totally different than the Howard Johnson 20 years ago, affordable and clean, which caught me by surprise. I would rather pay more than suffer for the below average quality of the stay. It is not a good idea to choose Howard Johnson for just a good night sleep and go next day. No more. The good and affordable Howard Johnson is in the history.

Worst place I have ever had been. No human been should stay there. It was dirty, broken furniture, dirty beds, no pillows, lights not working. It had dead bugs. I feel scammed by Expedia for not checking before recommending a place like this.

Worst ever.
I have hosteled all over the world and this was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at. Dirty. Breakfast was supposed to be included but they did not have(hotels.com) did not reimburse despite us leaving 2 days early. Random people knocked on door in middle of night.

Horrible experience
The experience was horrible. When I got there there were police at the front office. I couldn't check in for two additional hours. When I got my room it was dirty, the lamps didn't work, the TV didn't work, there was no toilet paper, there was no blanket on the bed, no pillow cases, and I found drugs on the floor

My confirmation meant nothing! Hotel overbooked!
Tried to check in and was informed the hotel was over booked and my confirmation meant nothing. They stated that they could not help) me and sorry but Wyndham was doing the overbooking. Howard Johnson in Tallahassee, Fl looked scetchey and obviously was.

The staff were very welcoming but the property was very dirty. I killed at least 3 roaches. The property seems to be in the midst of renovations. There’s no longer carpet but hard wood flooring and it seems like a rushed job….. it feels as though debri is trapped under the flooring……I’ve stayed at a Wyndham before and this was nothing like that. Overall this hotel needs to close down, renovate, and then reopen.

The facility was poorly maintained. The pictures do not effectively represent the hotel. No cable no blankets on the beds. Cobwebs in the ceiling. Floors were sticky. Ice machine was broken.

Half of everything didn't work: the lamp, the hairdryer, the TV, the door knob. It was as if we were in a 3rd World country. Even the bed was bent in the center. The employees didn't seem to have any pride in their workplace. The manager even walked by trash on the floor in front of the main office, completely okay with the place looking like a dump. Wow! Absolutely pathetic.

Stay away until rehab is complete.
The hotel is currently undergoing rehabilitation which was not publicized. There was no breakfast even though it was advertised, no internet, and the room itself was in need of a makeover. The doorknob of the bathroom fell off and the door itself was heavily damaged. The neighborhood is not the best and you don’t feel safe at night.

I have stayed at an Regular Howard Johnson in Pennsylvania, and it was nothing like that. I selected that hotel because. It said it had free breakfast, a microwave and a refrigerator. When we checked in we Inquired about the microwave and refrigerator and we were told that they don't know whether either one was in room. When we went to our room after checking in we took a shower which the most disgusting and uncomfortable I had ever had. The microwave was so dirty, had paint chipping and it had a really bad odor. During the night a dog barked we heard ppl having sex. Around 2 or 3 in the morning ppl were standing outside our window talking. In the morning there was no breakfast let alone coffee. Nothing. We told the owner/front desk about our issues. She didn't apologize, said she would move us to another room and didn't offer us anything for our issues. When when we got the next room, the sink was leaking, and it was no cleaner than the other one. The linens were clean and smelled clean though. I didn't like Their cleaning agent. The housekeepers were too homey looking with no uniforms. She told us she had bought it 2 months ago And said the previous owner was running it like a homeless shelter. Which I can Tell and they didn't bother to Freshen anything up just open for business.

I could overlook the general disrepair of the room (hole in the wall, worn-out chair, dirty floor) but the bedbugs in the pillow really ruined a good night sleep.
