“like second home”
I love this hotel .such as services , equipment, only food price very high but still can accept it. if last time i will still choise this hotel.
“Its great”
The service is great, is a very modern hotel with all the facilities that the technlogy can give you. The staff is very servicial.
“Wonderful service”
Great hotel, would definitely go back.
“Good location, great service, top notch”
The Far Eastern Plaza Shangrila Hotel has comfortable, well appointed rooms. The concierge provided us with great recommendations and directions for sight seeing, dining, foot massage and shopping. Spa was great; especially liked the cold plunge pool. The only negative was that I thought the restaurants were overpriced; that being said, the food (especially in the 2 Chinese restaurants) was outstanding.
“Best business hotel in Taipei”
I traveled a lot around the world. Nothing come close to the good experience in staying in any Shangri-La Hotel. Top notch facility and down to detail services are what guests should expect. It is pricier, but you get what you paid for. It is obvious Taipei is a major city that is lack of top hotels. Most hotels in Taipei including Sheraton has some kind of architecture problems such as low ceiling, or small or no window(s). Far Eastern Hotel is well built with open view in mind. Big working desk with high speed Internet connections are most important for me to do my job on the road. The hotel has best breakfast buffet in terms of food varieties and tastes comparing with hundreds of hotels around the world that I have been to, though there are hotels provide better personal services than Far Eastern. Local likes to eat breakfast there in weekend, which put hotel guests at disadvantage. It took a long time for me to wait for a table Sunday morning.
“Superior for Business Travelers”
If you are traveling to Taipei on business, this is the top-rated hotel. They deserve every award that they win. However, if you are only here to sightsee, you should stay somewhere less expensive and closer to the tourist attractions.
“Great Hotel to stay in Taipei”
Stayed 4 nights at the end of December 2009. Very nice and clean room. We requested two rooms with views of Tapei 101. We got exactly that. Too bad we couldn't stay for the new year's eve fireworks or it would've been a perfect room to see that. The roof top pool is beautiful and a great place to see the entire city from above. Complimentary internet was a plus. The hotel is right next to a mall with pretty decent food court. A 10 min walk to a nearby night market. Not as big as the Shi-Ling night market but we did find many things to try out that were delicious. We tried the hotel breakfast buffet. The food was just okay but pricey. The hotel is a bit far from metro station. We cabbed everywhere which was very convenient and relatively inexpensive. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Shangri-La and would certainly go back there again.
“Near good resturants and night clubs”
Near a very good Russian resturant named Salt & Bread that has an Ice Bar with 120 different kinds of vodka. Also near a night club named Carnagies which is a blast for the young at heart. Service at this hotel is excellent, friendly and well provided.
“Amazing”
This was a weekend getaway for me and my husband. I arrived for check-in and our room was not ready so they upgraded us to a suite. It was beautiful with a great view of the Taipei 101 building. The staff was always there to help us with reservations and directions. We had a wonderful weekend and we can't wait to get back!!
“A classic luxury hotel”
We stayed in about eleven hotels for our cycling tour in Taiwan and the shangri la was the best by a long long shot. The gym was superb, the roof top pool and hot tub delightful and the Cafe buffet was the best. When the local taiwanese are three deep at the buffet on a Friday night you know you are in the right spot. The staff were super friendly and competent.I would call the rooms classic in style with marble bathrooms, big shower stalls, seperate deep long bath, retractable clothes line, oodles of closet space, huge comfortable bed,a good size couch to read on etc etc.I promise you wont regret staying here.
