There’s no staff on site. To check in, you must call from the phone at the front desk then wait for the staff person to check you in. We also booked a room with a ‘balcony’ yet the windows were all sealed shut “because of the noise outside”

Perfect!
Everything was perfect! The staff is very nice, the rooms and bathroom/shower are incredibly clean, and the beds/rooms are comfortable. I would recommend you stay here. I would book this room again if I ever came back. Best experience in Taipei.

Location location location
Bed was smaller than a queen size bed. We wanted to request for a triple room but it was already occupied. For 2 adults and 1 infant I'll definitely recommend to book a triple room. Besides, the cleaner came to clean our room on the 2nd day only (3d2n stay) and the toiletries weren't top up. Have to call for check in when arrive using their phone. No one was at the counter all time. The only good thing is location. It was near to mrt and ximending.

5 mins walk from Ximending station exit 4
Ok for short stay. Take escalator to 2nd floor then lift at East side of building to 3rd floor to reach hotel. Lobby not manned at all times, call to check in. Leave room key in box at lobby when check out. Luggage holding at Oxygen Hostel abt 2 minutes walk away. Tv was not working during my stay.

Good for a short stay
It's a relatively good location, not too far from me Ximen metro station. It is indeed not quite convenient to take 2 trips of escalator and elevator if you have heavy luggages. Never seen anyone sittings at the check-in desk (I guess coz i leave my room at 8:30am and back late) but easy to reach someone via the pione on the counter. Room is relatively clean (even there's a hair stuck in the bathroom mat), but the bed and pillows are wayyy too soft. Can't hear much traffic even it is next to a rather busy road.

Nice budget hotel for a quick stop
I enjoy my stay here. The hotel is in a business building on 3rd floor east side. The location is great. Take exit 4 at Ximen subway station then go straight about 3-4 blocks. There are lots of restaurant and shops nearby. Walkable distance to Ximendin. Not alway someone on duty at reception but you can call the number provided next to phone and let them know what you need. The housekeepers are very nice and always around to offer help. The bed is comfortable. The only complaint is the noise of moving chairs on the weekend since there is a tutor school upstairs.

Why we would not stay again
Likes: great staff and very good service! They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Dislikes and why we would not come back: 1) breakfast is included only offered through the Subway store next to the hotel. We got little food for breakfast, but the service at Subway was extremely poor. The gentleman and the lady who worked their shifts on the mornings of May 27 and 28 really to be retrained to serve customers, including how not to be rude to customers. The experience at the Subway ruined our impression about the hotel and even about service in Taipei... 2) The hotel rooms were right beneath a busy training center with students come in and out until very late in the evening. We heard the traffic right above our heads. 3) The building does not allow smoking inside, however it does not stop the heavy cigarette smell come through the vent in the washroom.

Great hotel, close to MRT (Blue/Red Lines)
Great Hotel for a daily travelers. It is located in the center town, between Ximen Station (Blue Line) and Hospital (Red Line). Great staffs and the room is very clean. The issue is that the walls are very thin. Other than that, the hotel was a great deal. Will return when travel back to Taipei.

Ok, but pls don't expect much.
The location is good. However, the room is very small. It says its a window room but in reality the window is in the bathroom facing the flat roof. very noisy outside due to the air con motor running at the flat roof. we had to suffer with noise if we wanted to have fresh air.

Great bed, but kind of a prison cell.
Almost no rooms have windows in this Hotel. I was lucky and got a tiny window in the bathroom looking outside. No business center, i needed to print documents and was told to email them to the front desk. No free breakfast as advertised, i was told to go to 7-11? No refunds, we had to cancel one night they would not refund either would hotels.com.

The location is within 5 mins walk to Ximending. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast only serve at 8am which is kind of late when you need to leave earlier for sight seeing. The room is very small. not much of walking space when opening up the luggage. so far my stay is pleasant.

Great hotel but weak wifi
Great location! Near Ximending metro and no lack of meal options. Very clean room and all necessary amenities are provided. But wifi was extremely weak and unusable at night.

Small but Worth the penny !
Pros: located 5 mins walk away from Ximending and for that location , pricing is very reasonable. Hotel room is also clean and service staff is friendly. Cons: very small space, if you have big luggage there might not even be enough walking space . Rooms are not sound proof so you hear people next door pretty clearly.

Hotel is at great location, 5-minute-walk from Ximen station and easy to get to Ximendin where you can shop,eat and watch a movie. They also provide breakfast coupon @ Subway. The only thing we didn't enjoy that much is the bed sheet. My sister and I both found it very skin-irritating so we couldn't sleep with it. Otherwise I would say it's fairly nice.

Very accessible location to Ximen Station (5-10min walking distance) and Taipei Main Station (10-15min walking distance). Located in an office building, with security guards on shift at all times. There are bakeries, shops and 24hrs convenience shops nearby. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast coupon given every morning to redeem at the nearest Subway sandwich shop. Free & good wifi connection in room with daily housekeeping.

Stay in Taipei for family trip.
San Yon is a great budget hotel but it's not that close to the train station, but overall it's a good experience to stay here and the staff is very very very helpful, rooms is new and clean although it's small.

No frills Hotel at XMD
Located 5 mins away from MRT XMD Exit 4. Easily located with the big 51 sign, this is actually inside a commercial building at level 3. (Got to change lift at L2) No frills, free bfast available at subway. Can stoll to Taipei Main Station within 15 mins. Bathroom clean and room space just enough for luggage. Away from the bustle but still within reach to all the places.

Small but good location
The front desk employees were nice & polite and one of the male workers there spoke excellent English. Check-in was quick & easy The rooms were clean though there are no windows and the walls are pretty thin. .The actual hotel is small & located on the 3rd floor of a bigger building. It's a easy, quick walk from Ximen station & you can easily walk to the Peace Park, Memorial Hall, etc. from there.

The hotel is not difficult to find but the distance from ximending quite far away as compare to the map as map look near it state a 5min walk actually is 10min walk. Room quite clean althought the space is not big but is alright... I will stay there again cause price reasonable
