“Corner room was great”

A little confusing at first as there are two buildings to this hotel, each with their own lobby (and there's no way to know which you'll be in), and we went in the wrong one but they walked with us across the street. Hotel staff know English, and signs are trilingual (Chinese, English, Japanese). The hotel itself was in great maintenance and very clean. We stayed in a "corner room" (looking at the picture, the window in the front and the one to the right of it). Had a queen size bed that was very cozy for the two of us. Has a bathtub with a jacuzzi, and a seperate large walk in shower. Plugs were made to fit most plug types, though I think they were just 220v (couldn't test as the only things I plugged in were dual-voltage). Has a desk and a couch/bench type deal. The part of town it was in seemed a bit on the run down side (no noticable crime), but there is a nice night market nearby, and many shops. Not sure where the train stations were, but taxis are very cheap and drove by often (hotel staff will wave them down if you'd like or they volunteerily do it anyway, and translate your destination for you - that being said, it is a good idea to have the hotel name printed/written in Chinese on a piece of paper to get back/look on hotel's website to get it).

“good value for money.”

Lovely hotel room, very comfortable. Excellent staff. The hotel could do with a larger general lounge for meeting up with friends.

Such a great deal!! We enjoyed our stay at Royal Seasons Hotel Taipei very much. Supportive staff, clean room ... but most of all, we loved the wonderful Jacuzzi experience!!! We will come back to this hotel next time for sure!

“Good for the Price”

10-15 minute walk to the MRT. Staff very helpful. Nice hotel, but a little off the main path for tourists.

“'great breakfast'”

i like the free access to internet. the staffs were very courteous, helpful and polite. they are diligent and efficient. the breakfast are prepared very well and without wastage which i find quite timely with so much sufferings around the world. i can't stand to see big hotels wasting and throwing away so much food from leftover buffets. hotel is small, yet, ambience is nice. though i'd have preferred a good gym with nice equiptments.

“A fine, if non-descript choice”

This class of hotels in Taipei all seem to be fairly equal - the 70-90usd a night range usually means a decently clean 3-star business type hotel. The rooms here are big, the bed is fine, the bathrooms large with separate bathtub and shower. Despite having all of the right things checked to be a four star type hotel, there's just something about it that doesn't feel as nice as it should - I almost said swanky, but this hotel is far from being swanky. Free breakfast is decent and offers a good selection of western and Taiwanese fare. Wifi in the room is horrendous to non-existent. The lobby is not great. The double building across the alley set up is odd also, and the location is a bit off the beaten path and requires a bus transfer (or a longish walk, probably around 20 minutes) to get over to a subway stop. But in general, this is a fine choice for the price. Nothing to write home about, but pleasant in its own way.

“Royal Seasons Taipei”

Very far from anywhere especially Nan Jin Road which turned out to be a very very long road. Location of the road in the west of the road was some 30mins by taxi from the north of the road where I wanted to be. Hotel is not more than 3 stars. Photos on the site apear to make look like 41/2 stars. Having Internet although slow was a consolation.

“Annoying”

We arrived late the night of our check in. The check in staff proudly informed us that they had upgraded our room. Little did we know that it was because there was a problem with our standard room. When my wife inquired at the front desk the next morning, she was told that we would have to pack our belongings and switch rooms.l If not for her dropping by the front desk, they would have never told us and simply moved our luggage without our permission. They offered us a room at their "sister" hotel which was purportedly nicer but at the end of the day, that did not make up for the inconvenience and lack of professionalism in which they handled the matter. Overall rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

“Fine for a stop-over”

We had a stop-over in Taeipei, and wanted a comfortable hotel for the family. This place was fine: its location is convenient, both walking and via the subway; the staff were friendly; the room was fine. The hotel is a little faded from its perhaps more affluent days, but we didn't mind. It was clean, and the girls enjoyed the rainbow light jaccuzzi. There is a night market nearby. We also enjoyed the massage parlor across the street.

“Un peu déçu”

Petit déjeuner frugal. Service négligé et médiocre. Chambres propres. Hotel accessible uniquement en taxi. Situé dans un quartier où il n'y a pas de restaurants de qualité. Pas cher.
