“Nice Bathroom!”
This was a fantastic hotel for several nights in Taipei. The bathroom was huge, with a shower and jacuzzi. The room was immaculately maintained but not perfectly constructed (e.g., some caulking was poorly done). The hotel provided ample bottled water in the room and the lobby. The breakfast was tasty; it wasn't a buffet, but you could select among a several sets. The location was better than we expected; we took a cab from the main station, but could walk to the subway in about 10 minutes. The hotel is very close to an historic shopping area (mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide), and nothing is very far away by subway.
“Great Hotel”
Great hotel, great service. A bit far from any metro stations though.
“1 of the best service for product, price and service...”
Initially had a bit of trouble finding the hotel from it's nearest MRT or train station because it's location is not on the map at the station. Took a taxi ard 10mins from Taipei train station to get there. However everything in the hotel i would give it a 5 star. From the friendly and helpful receptionist all the way to rest of the services they provided i thought that it was excellent. The bath tub with jaccuzi was fantastic. I would definitely want to stay there again on the next trip. Well done Royal Seasons Taipei!
“A very good experience”
The staff was excellent. Most speak English well and the rest are better than satisfactory. All were very attentive to the needs of a non-Chinese speaker. They gave excellent sightseeing and transportation suggestions and were unfailingly friendly. If you like local food, there are several small shops within a couple blocks. If you're looking for a real restaurant, you'll have to do some walking or take a taxi to another part of town. There is a top quality Western restaurant one block away. The breakfast is buffet with relatively few choices but tasty enough and certainly adequate. The walk back to the hotel from the MRT after a long day of sightseeing was tiring but took only about 15 minutes. The hotel has a free shuttle to the MRT. During this 14 day trip to Taiwan I stayed in 6 different hotels (business) and this was 2nd only to a 5-star in Taipei. The value for the price was excellent.
“HIdden Gem”
This hotel is a hidden gem. We had asked for adjoining room for my wife and me and our adult daughter. When we arrived, we discovered our rooms had been upgraded to suites that were, while not adjoining, close on the same floor. They were spacious and clean--very nice. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English. On the downside, and these are not very down at all, are a good breakfast that has a limited selection. Second is the location. From the hotel, it is a 10-12 minute walk to the nearest subway station (BTW: Excellent subway system in Taipei). That's a pleasant walk in nice weather, which we had. However, for other times, the hotel provides a shuttle than runs to the station every 40 minutes during the day. Right across the street is a place to get a great foot massage. We would, and have, recommended the Royal Seasons to friends and would definitely stay there again.
“Great Place”
The room was large and the bathroom was even larger. The tub came with water jets which were great after walking all day. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, a set menu with Ameican, or Asian fare. Service was prompt. The staff spoke English and Chinese very well and were very helpful and polite when I asked a question. The elevator came quickly when called. I would definately stay again.
“Cosy”
The hotel gave us an upgrade to the room with jacuzzi . It was good after long walks of shopping. The hotel provides free shuttle vans to town which has to be booked an hour before departure. It's only available until 5pm and if it gets crowded, then there's no way to squeeze in or board another van. It's a little far to the nearest Zhongshan station. But if you take cab from Taipei main station or shih Lin night market, it's lesser than NT $150. There's a new night market near the hotel which the local recommended more than Shih Lin called Ningxia. There's newer stuff to look at as well as different types of food. It's about 5min walk. Depending on the package you buy, there are 2 types of breakfast selection. If you are buying the cheaper option, perhaps it's better to eat out there because varieties are just too little.
“A wonderful experience”
Everything about this hotel says "quality", from the rich wood furniture to the fine bathroom fixtures. The hotel personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious, and the dining room is beautifully decorated. One suggestion would be to have a more opaque screen to cover the large glass window that separates the bathroom from the bedroom, for greater privacy. Everything else was perfect!
“Awesome hotel quite close to main station”
Royal Seasons Hotel Taipei is located within a 5 minute walk from the central train & bus station. The station isn't that close to anything but everything can easily be reached via trains and it also has great connections to both airports. The hotel itself was great! The room was large, beds were good and the bathroom was huge. By "huge" I mean "the bathroom was larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms". And it had a great "rain" - type shower and A WHIRLPOOL BATH in addition to the great shower! The bath was great with adjustible air flow control but likely not large enough for two. The toilet seat also had the Asian luxurities. Breakfast was decent although there wasn't that many options on what to eat.
“...that one crazy of a bathroom...”
this place is great.....wonderful service, also clean rooms, and the rooms are good. the bathrooms...are amazing!!! Jacuzzis ...getting off the plane and getting in to that ...is great. beds comfortable. breakfast, your get to choose from a menu the night before, and its really tasty the only thing is location, about 10 mins walk from the nearest station ...but your right in the centre of taipei. and if you want, you can take a taxi...which is really cheap!!! and i mean really cheap...just ask the hotel staff to help you. you will be ok. just adventure out from the hotel , there is a night market near by with wonderful food! also 7eleven is near by...so 24 hour food and drink. highly recommend will stay there again on my next visit.
