“An excellent choice-rated as 3.5 stars but should be much higher. Excellent all round”
Booked this hotel on the enternet and followed other comments from other guests - but was still a bit wary. To our delight could not have done better. Excellent all round could not fault in anyway. We chose a superior suite - for our stay of 5 nights and then another 2 nights after touring the island. We were looking forward while touring to return to Royal Biz Hotel. Would highly recommend to all. Helen & David - South Australia.
“Excellent stay”
Spent 4 nights at the Royal Biz and highly recommend it. Very clean and well-maintained with well furnished rooms. Convenient bedside panel to control all lights and air conditioning in the room. Excellent breakfast with daily changing menu buffet and free daily English-language newspaper. The whole hotel is covered with their free WiFi, plus you can ask for a free network cable for a more reliable connection. There was a small problem with one of the bathroom fixtures in my room that the concierge could not fix himself. After apologizing profusely, he promised it would be done the following day, which it was. The location is very good with day and night (Shida) markets and the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall within easy walking distance. The hotel can arrange for a car service to the airport for a reasonable fee.
“Excellent Facilities and Experience”
We enjoyed our stay at Royal Biz. The room was well equipped with desk, refrigerator/mini bar, comfortable chair, bathroom supplies and storage space. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The only (slight) downside was the walk from the subway - it was much further than the map suggests, especially with luggage. We really liked the free shuttle service that took us to the Grand Hotel and to the train station for our departure. The breakfast buffet was different, with food much more suited to dinner than breakfast, but we found plenty to eat, no complaints! The hotel is within a 15-minute walk to Chang Kai-shek Memorial. We didn't explore much beyond there on foot, but it is in a residential neighborhood, but not too noisy at night. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I'd recommend it.
“We Will stay here again on future trips to Taipei”
I hate to let the "secret" out about the Royal Biz as I may not be able to get in on our next visit if everyone else goes there........ Seriously, we were Delighted with this hotel and the management and staff of the Royal Biz. Everyone was helpful to an extreme and the breakfasts that they served were exceptional. The hotel floor we were on was Quiet which we needed after non-stop touring all day. We can say, after experiencing a 5.7 Earthquake while napping on our bed, that the hotel held up beautifully.
“Great hotel”
I was very happy. The room was very nice. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice fitness center. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei.
“David L. from Los Angeles”
Very good location. Courteous staffs. Good breakfast buffet. Good money spent for a few night s of stay in Taipei. There is no fancy decor or expensive furnitures, but if you are looking for a decent place with center-of-city location, this is the place to reserve for your Taipei visit.
“Comforts of home and convenient to the MRT”
As in previous trips, the comforts of home from a comfortable bed and awesome breakfast each morning to the convenience of the MRT, the Biz is truly Royal. It is a bit older, but maintained with gracious, English-speaking hotel staff. The desk staff were always helpful and got us where we wanted/needed to go while traveling. Yes, there are more beautiful hotels with high prices, but for the money and convenience, our bit of home outranks the others (we have stayed in others as high as the Grand).
“Exceeded our expectations!”
Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff! Arrived late in the evening and was greeted by name, check in was fast and easy. Room was modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet (included) had more choices than expected for small boutique hotel, both traditional Taiwan and western fare including omlete bar. Subway and major shopping street (with plenty of restaurants) within walking distance (about 10-15 minutes). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to all, thanks to the great staff!
“Great value, beautiful room, bit of a walk to MRT”
Hotel condition was excellent. Our room was the standard King: the room itself was not exceptionally large but the bed was the biggest I've ever slept on, larger than a California King? Bathroom was a great example of making a small space work really well. Everything looked great, was very clean and staff was wonderful.. If you will be going back and forth to the MRT station a lot, the walk could get to you. But the 24 hour expresso and free WiFi made staying in a decent choice. All in all, a very nice experience.
“Taipei's Best-Kept Secret”
Royal Biz Taipei is a beautiful hotel with large, comfortable and clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff. It's an approx. 10-min walk to two major subway lines that'll take you to different attractions in the city. There are lots of places to shop and eat nearby with a night market full of great deals. The breakfast buffet (7-10 am Mon thru Sat, 7-10:30 am on Sun) features traditional Chinese breakfast items: rice porridge and condiments, noodles, vegetables and tofu, a salad bar, coffee, milk, and soy milk. I had a wonderful stay.
