“Great place for a first night in Tahiti”
What a pleasant way to get off a long flight from LAX and spend our first night in Tahiti. Only about 5 minutes from the airport and yet it's a really nice resort. We only stayed the one night because we already had plans to go on to Moorea, but if/when we come back to Tahiti, thinking about extending for a few days there.
“Probably the best chice in the area”
This hotel is first class in all respects;the grounds;swimming areas etc are very attractive. If I were to return to Tahiti, this would be my top choice...
“Great starting point”
Beautiful grounds, incredible pool. The city was not my favorite of the islands but the hotel and staff were wonderful. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was fantastic. Snorkeling was not that good. Lotus restaurant was wonderful and the pizza by the pool was reasonably priced. Beautiful view of Moorea. We walked about 15 minutes (out entrance and to the right) to a "Walmart" typle store and picked up drinks, etc. Very safe.
“VERY impressed,”
pools are wonderful as are views. the drinks were a bit weak and very slow in coming. otherwise over the top review
“Over-water-Bungalow with a View of Moorea”
The last time we were here in 2007, we stayed in the main building with a nice large balcony over-looking the infinity pool, and the beautiful island of Moorea. This time we decided to stay in an over-water bungalow (we were 3 adults). It was very roomy and well worth the extra money! You will love it. We snorkelled both days right from our room - there's lots of beautiful colored fish. We actually were feeding them from our balcony while sipping wine - I loved the room so much I never left. I was planning on working out in the new state of the art gym (which ws not there last visit), but choose to do yoga on the dock of our room instead - I just could not get enough of this beautiful view of Moorea. The suite was very large with a sofa-bed for the 3rd guest, and tons of room on the private poorch. The bathroom was modern and large and had a little window looking down to the water. The hotel main restaurant was better priced than the little restaurant on the water. We were going to eat there one night, but we didn't like the menu, so ate in the main restaurant both nights and were pleased with the food and service. The pools looked beautiful, but like I said I didn't venture too far from our piece of heaven on the water. We have already decided that we are going back to the South Pacific again next Christmas, but will be trying the Hilton Moorea next - as they too have over-water bungalows. BTW - I am always happy with our hotel bookings through Expedia.
“Excellent hotel in Tahiti”
The InterContinental Tahiti was an excellent hotel with a beautiful grounds area and lovely lagoon pool areas. We stayed for 7 nights and could not fault it. The restaurants onsite were excellent - especially Lotus with fabulous French cuisine. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall an excellent place to stay whilst in Tahiti.
“Luxury close to the airport”
This is a lovely resort style hotel: all the expected Tahitian views, services and activities available. You need not leave the hotel, unless you want a cheap meal. The food was nice but the serves too big (slightly smaller and cheaper would have been preferable). The roo was wonderfully comfortable, bathroom gorgeous and multiple TV channels, some with English language options. The resort grounds were lovely, despite the wet weather I endured. Importantly this hotel is one of the closest to the airport, so it was ideal as a transit hotel for me, who arrived at midnight and departed a day later on an 8am international flight. As a single, there wasn't a lot to do; but for couples etc, it looked like an ideal hotel.
“A great place to relax at the end of the trip.”
Spacious, beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the sea and the island of Moorea. Freshwater swimming in an enormous pool with a waterfall and saltwater swimming in a peaceful lagoon with a sand beach. Fine dining restaurant built out over the water, a delightful place to enjoy a meal. Spacious bathroom with large tub and separate shower. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable. Fresh flowers daily in the room and the bathroom. Very close to the airport; an inexpensive cab ride. There is a shuttle for going into Papeete or you can take the local bus.
“You will not be disappointed!”
We were on our honeymoon and they really made it much more special. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Would come back for sure! The over water bungalows were well worth it.
“Intercontinental Faa”
WiFi payant : dommage pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, surtout qu'il n'y a pas de logout possible pour les abonnements pris dans les chambres, et même si on n'est plus connecté le forfait s'écoule!!!
