A very basic hotel.
The hotel was conveniemtly located in Siracusa. The room service was excellent. But the bed pillow, however, was very flat and uncomfortable as well as the bed matress.

Room and bath were clean, but they smelled of heavy smoking activity. Too cold to keep balcony door open to air out room. No warm or hot water for shower on last day. Breakfast was sparse by all Sicilian hotel and B@B standards. Just a croissant and a coffee of choice. Both were good, however. Shower glass enclosure leaked which is a problem in many places in Sicily. Housekeeping was great. Very quiet location. Location is great for walks to Old Siracusa and the island. Beds very comfortable. Lighting good. WIFI, heat and AC great and work well. All in all, a mixed bag.

Good value for money
This hotel is good value-for-money in a good location. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station, equal walking distance to Ortigia island and the archaeological park (20 minutes), and reasonably close to supermarkets and restaurants. Staff were friendly and easy to deal with.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. It’s cheap, so it won’t be a 5 star place. I had a room on the second/top floor. Bit old but clean, although non smoking you could smell that in the past it had been a smoking room. Annoyingly, qifi never worked in my room once when I was there. Breakfast is basic. I parked in front of the hotel, on the street without issue. Location is in walking distance of the old part of town, travelled as a woman alone and felt safe.

Great staff, so-so location.
Easy to find parking. Staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. On foot, you are about 20 min from bars/restaurants in Ortigia and 10 min from ruins. But you're outside the main area and there's really nothing around. (The proof is in the pudding when you need to shell out 2E for a beer.) But again, the staff was terrific. Place was clean. Moderate shower.

Learn some Italian before arrival
1. no lift. 2. no table lamp. 3. Incorrect directions from train and bus station. 3. No shelf below mirror in bathroom for toilet articles. 4. Pricing of taxing of taxes and fees for accommodations in written e-mail incorrect upon arrival. 5. Very noisy room: autos, motorcycles, dogs barking, construction. 6. Poor light in bathroom. 7, Slow hot water to the bathroom sink. 8. Must ask for juice with decent breakfast.

Charming 3 star
You get what you pay for. Low on frills but cosy, clean hotel central to all the attractions of Siracusa. They make a darn good granita too.

Uncomfortable bed, very loud refrigerator in the room, annoying during night. We were told breakfast was from 7.30 to 10h. We came downstairs little after 7.30 (we were in a hurry to catch a flight), but there was nobody there and no breakfast set up. We left around 7.45 and the woman just started setting everything up... so we left without breakfast. Very unprofessional! Good location, not far from the old city center. Free parking in the street. Room was clean, but not big.

Two steps away from Ortigia (8 minutes only)
There was a light smell of smoke from previous guests probably. The hot water in the shower is reversed. A part from that, everything has been nice, the deal I got was cheap and the location was wonderful

Chegamos pela manhã, antes do horário do check in, e fomos muito bem recebidos. A moça e o rapaz foram muito prestativos, falavam italiano e inglês bem o suficiente para que houvesse compreensão. O quarto não estava pronto ainda, mas arrumaram depois para nós. É fácil de chegar ao parque e a ilha de Ortigia, mas pra chegar nele é necessário um mapa. Hoje outra moça nos ofereceu café da manhã, mesno não estando na reserva.

Good service for a very fair price
The hotel is very well located, close to the train station and other facilities as, bars, restaurantes and minimarkets. The breakfast is ok and the staff helpful. Nice place for a fair price.

Convinience Hotel
This hotel is convinient for travelers who like to walk around Sirakusa because this hotel is surrounded by a station, an archeological park and a Cathedral. I liked this hotel's breakfast. The breakfast was very simple; a croissant, a coffee and grapefruits juice. Particularly, a croissant and coffee was tasty.

Pratique pour visiter l'arrière pays et Syracuse
Réservation prise à la derniere minute et acceptée par l'hotel je voulais me rendre à Noto par le rail (gare ferroviaire à distance de promeneur de l'hôtel Populus) et quitter le lendemain Syracuse pour l'intérieur des terres. La gare routière n'est pas loin donc très pratique. Proximité de toutes les commodités pour dîner à tous prix et faire mes adieux à Syracuse. Equipe formidable, sympathique et arrangeante. A recommander pleinement

Hotel datato, in una zona non eccelsa ma comunque a 10 minuti a piedi da Ortigia. Camera sinceramente poco pulita, soprattutto la doccia oltre a qualche ragnatela qua e là. La porta recava segni di tentativi di scasso passati. Buona la colazione.

Hotel pulito e tranquillo personale gentile, tanto posto disponibile per il posteggio gratis vicino all' hotel. Posizionato favorevolmente per arrivare al centro di ortigia, anche vicino ad un solarium a mare se non si vuole prendere la macchina per andare in spiaggia.
