Went to a concert at the Dome, so reasonable distance to a lot of facilities. The hotel put on food and beer on the evening of the event free, nice touch when arriving. Rooms are dated but clean and spacious and reasonably priced fridge, microwave good bed, full tub all plus's. Free breakfast in the morning, just felt like we were getting a good bang for the buck. VERY disappointed!!! I booked this hotel because I’ve normally had good care at your hotels. This time, I was traveling to see my son come home from a 10 month deployment and I was gouged in the prices. When I booked online it was for the normal rate and then when the receipt came under my door it was for double the price. Because this is how you gouge people because of another event going on in the area, I will probably look at other hotels before looking at a Holiday Inn to stay at.

My favorite part of the stay was the breakfast I was impressed on the variety of items offered. The pool was clean and the warm towels made it very pleasant for my children when they got out. They also offered chocolate chip cookies and coffee 24/7 which was a nice addition for a late snack.

The first floor was just remodeled but I was told they are regular rooms and not suites. 2nd to 4th floors are not recently updated although the room didn't feel terribly outdated. It was decently clean but needed some TLC as a lamp shade was broke and there was water damage around the bathtub. The hallways on the 2nd to 4th floors are outdated with wallpaper and bad lighting. The pool area looks nice but desperately needs to be cleaned around the edge, just above the water and there is no hot tub if you're looking for that. The continental breakfast was average in my opinion. There is nothing directly by the hotel but a lot of things a short drive away, maybe a mile. I was there during a snow storm and they had nobody plow the parking lot or driveway the whole time which I thought was strange being its a hotel. The staff were all nice and accompanying. Overall, the lobby and bottom floor look very nice being just remodeled. I'm assuming they'll do the rest of the floors but I did not ask. It's an ok, quiet place that was decently priced with nice staff when I was there and overall clean except what I mentioned about the pool. I would consider staying here again, especially if they remodel the rest of the hotel.

Good consistent hotel
I’ve stayed here many times when visiting my dad. Staff is always friendly, room is always clean, breakfast is always good. Doors to rooms are starting to show their age. But all else is great!

The floors echoed everything from above you. I could hear the people jumping and walking back and forth across the floor till they went to bed around 11:30. The area around the tub showed signs of mold or some sort of build up. Pool was nice, and lobby was very clean. Breakfast was great.

We arrived at midnight on 9/23 and upon check in the gentleman behind front desk loudly announces… “ok you’re in room 210.” At the time there were four other individuals waiting in line behind us, listening. Needless to say my daughter and I did not sleep well that evening. A hotel cannot disclose what room an individual is staying in. This would be considered a violation of the individual's right to privacy. In the morning we left very early for tours at Syracuse U. We did not shower or have time to evaluate the room. I complained the morning of 9/23 in reference to announcing our room number and should have been assigned a new room. The gentleman defensively mentioned he did not announce our room number. He asked if the person doing so was male or female. I replied male. Further training needs to address this violation. I’ve attached photos of our room. #210. My daughter and I have asthma. We already experienced breathing issues from our time in the room. Please address this room and have it remediated asap. This is not acceptable for future guests. Please note above the shower head at ceiling, and at window. Ceiling paint is also peeling off at window frame. I am requesting a full comp on this stay, not the $25 offered upon checkout. I will not book another Holiday Inn ever again. . The actions taken at your hotel were subpar, and a very unhealthy environment all together. The bathroom walls were stained and dirty
