It’s an older building, which is to be expected of course. The space (bathroom & bedroom) were really nice and sizable compared to many European rooms we’ve encountered. It’s just due for a bit of an update in my opinion, but I would happily stay there again. Great location and nice value!

Nice B&B
If you are looking for a hotel with all facilities you may be disappointed. This is a nice B&B - no bar or restaurant. The rooms have sea view through a small window, but no balcony. "Sun Terrace"is in the shade from 2.30pm. Great location on the island, and lovely walks around Syracuse.
This property is beautiful. It used to be a convent. The room and bathrooms were spacious. It’s a short walk to piazzas, markets, restaurants. Parking is down the street for E20. There is an rooftop area that overlooks the water. I would definitely stay here again.

Good Location but Tired
Location was great but there is no parking. There is a parking lot in front of hotel but good luck getting a spot as locals park there. We ended up parking in public lot and walked to hotel - about 10 minutes. Thought the room was small with one tiny window covered in heavy curtains so “sea view” was disappointing. The terrace is nice but it was too hot to use in August. Overall, thought the hotel was tired in desperate need of freshening.
We loved the window in the room overlooking the sea and listening to the waves crashing. Room was ready when we checked in early. Great convenient location and friendly staff. Free bikes for guests’ use was an added bonus that we loved.
Very friendly and welcoming staff; good breakfast.
Two lovely outdoor areas (although they would be lovelier if people weren't allowed to smoke).
Excellent location on Ortigia, a short walk to sights and restaurants.
Great unique boutique property facing the sea and in the middle of Ortigia. Recently renovated property. Highly recommend for a stay exploring the island and its alleys.
Domus Mariae Benessere was perfectly located and within minutes to shops, restaurants and sea. The staff we very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
They are very helpful from check-in to check-out. Their cheerful attitude and the service were excellent. The room was very clean. The ocean view from balcony was excellent.
A great "real" hotel (not B&B) in a nice location!
Nice real hotel (not B&B) in a great location (but inside ZTL so need to register the car with hotel before arrival). A few minor problem but the 24-hr front desk was very helpful.
Hotel building is part of a convent/chapel complex.Quite a grand building beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean, single room was very comfortable with good space.
Parking around the hotel is quite difficult and is likely to result in a 5-10 minute walk with your bags.
The property is in an excellent location for the old town of Ortygia. Unfortunately graffiti has been daubed upon many of the lovely old buildings in the town which is so sad and spoils the look of the town. Parking is on the road but only part of it is free. If you don't find a spot the nearest car park is £15.00 per night.
Our hotel room was quiet and the bed was comfy and we could not fault the cleanliness of the property. Excellent value for money.
The buffet breakfast was good but lacked any green stuff or salad. Omelettes were an extra 3 euro, and an extra charge applied for more than two hot drinks. There were no additional tea making facilities in the rooms.
The swimming pool was overpriced and for that reason we did not use it. The bikes were in a state of poor repair and two did not look useable.
The rooms to the front of the hotel had a sea view. Our room was more to the back of the property and was dark. There was a window but it looked out on a blank corridor leading to other rooms. The room lights had to be kept on during the day. I'm not sure how the room could be improved. It is what it is and at the end of the day it was not a problem for us.
Throughout the hotel there were religious pictures and ornaments. It added to the ambience of the place and did not bother us at all. All of the staff were helpful and friendly.
It was a lovely stay and the points I have raised did not spoil the overall enjoyment of our holiday.
Magnificent setting, exquisitely designed rooms, intoxicatingly wonderful scents (my allergy be damned) incredible care and service, fabulous breakfast. Our best
Great place, very comfortable, outstanding service... All you should expect from a hotel... We felt welcome and the staff went above and beyond to sort our (small) issues... Really a pleasure!!! Not to be missed!!!
Beautiful building on the water front, well renovated with modern facilities, wonderful breakfast and helpful staffs, access to drive in the island, highly recommended.
We liked the accommodations. The location was great. Only a few minute walk to the main piazza.
The food was really good, and reasonably priced.
Great shopping in the out door market.
We enjoyed just walking through the streets, and looking at the beautiful views Ortygia has to offer.
The woman at the desk was very nice and very helpful. Otherwise the amenities were sub-par. There was not an airport shuttle like advertised, and the spa and pool area that was advertised was only available at additional cost which was not stated anywhere prior to booking. Both of them were sub-par once we paid anyway. It was a let down. I would have booked elsewhere if I knew these things were the case ahead of time.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was on coast and we had a sea view albeit a small window it was good watching the waves come in( it was windy while we were here). Good location able to get to all attractions easily

Dear guest,
thank you very much for your comment.
We work hardly and it's a pleasure to read that about your stay. We wish to meet you again the next time.
Best regards
Excellent location for everything you would want to do and see on Ortigia Island. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.
The hop-on hop-off bus location was less than 500 m away.
the bus stopped at all important sights in the city of Siracusa

Nice to be on Ortigia at a reasonable price. Room looked a little old fashioned but was big. Breakfast staff was surly but front desk was very helpful. Fitness room was small and not well equipped.
Splendid hotel for adults- not suitable for children. Old fashioned interior, nice and clean. Large rooms.
Staff nice and service-minded.Parking is a problem- it may even be a problem reaching the hotel by car because of traffic restrictions.
Very nice hotel with lovely roof terrace and beautiful view. Area is quiet but very close to all amenities in centre. Hotel very peaceful. Breakfast was good, couldn't ask for anything more. Didn't use the spa facilities.
Great location in Ortigia, and near the beach and the swimming point of the city. Rooms either have views of the ocean or direct access to the beautiful terrace. Breakfast was good and staff was excellent.
