“Not impressed.”

Clean, but had an odor and all the furnishings were mixed. Good location for Gatwick Airport and nice neighborhood to walk in.

“Ordinary”

Poor communication of staff. Rooms poorly equipped for weather variations. Cost us 6 pounds per room for travel to and from airport any time of day. Left early for plane so very poor breakfast .

“Good location & free transport to Gatwick. Tired hotel decor though.”

With this B & B you get what it says on the tin. Its close to Gatwick so ideal for a night before or after a holiday. However the rooms decor are sparse and very basic, the TV was fairly pointless as the picture was so poor. The rooms themselves are clean if dated in decor and the shower was powerfull. The staff were helpfull and the breakfats a standard fare. The price of the B&B does reflects this, so I would say it's ideal for a cheap nights stay before a holiday or after but not for anything more.

“Ok hotel for one night.”

It was ok for one night, close to the airport, only 5 pounds. But they only serve breakfast from 7 and the receptionist was not really nice, did not even say good morning. Did not look really clean but not expensive for one night.

“Would NOT return”

This hotel was not a 3-star hotel, as indicated. I'm not even sure I would give it 2 stars. Rooms were down an extremely narrow corridor (which was unlit) and the room itself was tiny and had a certain dirty feel to it. (I've stayed all over the world, so I'm aware of "small" European hotel rooms.) There was no indication of bugs, but I couldn't sleep all night, just wondering what was behind those thin walls. The entire building had an unhealthy aura.

“No chance I'd stay again”

The room was adequate, and the staff nice. However, the bathroom was gross. I have never seen so much black mildew on the showe walls. It needed mildew remover bad. There was no AC either and poor ventalation in the room. FOr the price I paid to be near the airport I expected a cleaner place. It was faded and could use also a good cleaning on the lobby fish tank. ON the bright side the staff was courteous and knew the area to give walking directions to the restaurants, shops and pubs in town. Horley is a nice place and all with in waling distance of this hotel. I would suggest staying somewhere else if you want to have a cleen bathroom and more air circulaton.

“Very Basic Hotel”

Room was OK but somewhat tired in appearance. The bar closed at 10:15 which was disappointing. We upgraded! to a full english breakfast which was hardly full!. The service was not what I would call customer focused. Overall just about OK for sleeping in & leaving early

“Cheap and convenient but poor service and very dirty”

The rep told us he didn't have any reservation for us whereas we had booked 2 days before. After 15 minutes of discussion and browsing through his papers he finally found it! Then he walked us to our room and there was sheets and a glass of wine in the staircase... The room was very dirty: crumbs all over the floor! It was written that it's not allowed to eat in the room but apparently it doesn't prevent this from happening. There were some holes in the bed sheets and even worse, some dry blood stains!!! This was so disgusting... In the washroom, there was only one towel for the two of us and an almost finished toilet paper roll... Two good things though. The shuttle was pretty quick to come once we had called it on the dedicated phone at the airport (it was hard to find it though), and the breakfast was quite good and unexpensive.
