“Skylane Hotel”
Not bad if you're just in transit. Not sure if you want to stay in this hotel say for a week or so. Shuttle took much longer to come pick us up. Food was OK, room very clean, LCD panel, etc. staff was quite friendly and professional. Shuttle left on time to airport.

This hotel was nicely renovated and comfortable. The room was clean but I would caution management to pay closer attention to housekeeping, especially in the bathroom, if it wants to maintain it's appeal over the long term

“Charming old world atmosphere”
I enjoyed my stay very much. I got the motel shuttle from the airport and returned to the airport the next day the same way. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I believe this was an exceptional value for the price. The motel was charming and had some old world characteristics. I would recommend it to families or anyone on a budget. The only thing I thought was strange was that the dining room did not actually have waitstaff to take your order. You order at the bar and the food is then brought to you. I had the chicken and leek pie which was very tasty! I enjoyed the food very much.
“Days Hotel in Horley”
Staff was very kind, i didn't had any problems, the only problem is the location, but once you get used to it is wonderful having gatwick airport at 10 minutes and with cheap fares. Horley is a little bit further than expected from central London but i needed a Hotel that was close to the airport to arrive late and depart early so it was a good option. The hotel is like 10 minutes away from the train station by foot and service to london victoria is relatively low a round trip. The only bad things was that the TV service didn't had good channels and the shower did a lot of noise specially when guests in rooms next to mine took showers. Other than that it was good experience.

Would recommend this hotel if you have an early morning flight as it is an ideal location for Gatwick at a very reasonable price.
“Despite the service”
After arriving at just after 11pm I found the doors locked. I could see two people behind the reception. One was serving a customer, the other looked at me, no acknowledgement, but eventually came to unlock the door. Before I got in, he turned and walked away. No hello, welcome or contact of any kind. Same at reception. I thought I was wearing Harry Potter's invisible cloak. Eventually first guest left, and I was attended to. Half way through being sorted the other guy, who I think might have been the manager, interupted the computer in order to sort out the guest behind me. Just very cold and ignorant. Room was fine, clean and spacious. Bathroom was fine and for one night this was very adequate! Took a while to sort the air con out, but got there in the end. Cleaner knocked and just walked in at 8 in the morning! She soon realised and beated a hasty retreat! So facilities all good, but the service leaves a little bit to be desired!!

Service great ... restaurant could be open for lunch as we would have stayed onsite if it was. Gratis shuttle service very prompt friendly and courteous to and from airport. Hotel undergoing renovations, but did not affect our stay.
