My husband and I had a wonderful time just enjoying the hotel and its location and amenities. We loved acess to the Executive floor and enjoyed the afternoon teas over looking the beach .
The staff were wonderful and thought the check out time of 12 was truely civilized.
We would love to return and have recommended this hotel to many of our friends and family.
From the moment we walked out of the lift on the 18th floor to our room, my partner and I knew we were going to have a great view! The gold tower has only got rooms facing The ocean, but the opposite side of the building has full height windows facing the Gold Coast and mountains, which is a great spot for watching the sunset.
The room was really nice, the AC worked well, the spa was a little smaller than expected but still fit two people. The view was wonderful.
The fridge was a good size, there were pots and pans, cutlery and crockery, tea and toast facilities and a good size TV.
The only thing I could fault would be no washing detergent for clothes (wasn't really expected anyway), and the dishwasher drawer was out of rinseaid
3rd time staying at the GC in Surfers. Parking to check in was an ordeal. 3 large buses in the way. After 10min none had moved. One driver even locked up and got out ready for a night out as "hey free parking on surfers". Eventually 2 buses moved on and I could check in. This process was quicker than usual and staff were very friendly.
Entering my room I found a crib setup. I assume from the previous guest. Also discovered few of the light switches worked. If I was there longer than one night I would have asked flat out for a new room.
Parking ticket didn't work on the way in, but worked fine on the way out.

Only negative comment is lifts..not that many and as property is so big at times had to wait a bit which was a pain, but we were happy to accept it as part of such a stunning place.
Surfers Paradise has the most vibrant nightlife anywhere along the Gold Coast. The main streets are east-west Cavill Ave, with its beachfront pedestrian mall, and north-south Orchid Ave, where many bars and nightclubs are located. Many budget hotels are located in Surfers Paradise, and the beach town also has an especially wide variety of Asian restaurants.
