"What is great is that is close to the beach."
The rooms are ok the beds are noisy the place is about half an hour from down town san francisco. If your going to the beach is fine. But not to drive every day to down town is quite a drive.

"Don't expect too much and you'll be fine here!"
Pros: Good location (right at the beach, close to public transport, walking distance to the park.) Safe neighborhood (walked around alone at 10pm as a woman. I wouldn't recommend this, but I never felt scared and no one bothered me.) One of the cheapest rooms around. Still overpriced, but it's San Francisco. Room looked like it hasn't changed since 1983 but I thought that was kinda cute. More importantly though, it was clean. There's a tv, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. Cons: My room smelled like cigarette smoke. I don't know if a previous guest had smoked or if it was coming in through the vents. My mini-fridge was so loud that I had to unplug it to sleep and I'm not noise sensitive. Neutral: Noise from the street. I sleep like a rock so it was not an issue for me, but if you're a light sleeper you'd likely wake up every time the public transport rolls by. In conclusion, I would stay here again.

"A good value motel in San Francisco."
We stayed here for three nights at the end of our US road trip in May/June. We booked a Standard Room with One Queen Bed. The hotel was a little old and there was no elevator to the second floor. However, it was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was a bit noisy, but not too bad. Accommodation in the city was quite full when we booked and really expensive, so we found this to be a good option. The Marina District is pretty and we had no problems walking as far as Fisherman's wharf. There are many nice stores, cafes and restaurants a short walk away. Some may find it a bit far from popular attractions. Breakfast was fine, but go early as it gets busy. The staff were really friendly, they looked after our luggage after we checked out and booked our airport shuttle. I would stay here again.

"Beautiful Victorian"
This hotel was fine for the one night we stayed there. This is a victorian style hotel (which is a personal favorite of mine) and thus, was small. I was traveling with a girlfriend on vacation and we had a room with two twin beds....kind of unusual, but we knew this when we booked it. Although small, the room met our needs. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Haight Ashbury and the park. We had an early flight out missing the complimentary breakfast, so the staff packed us a 'to go' breakfast....super nice of them! I would stay here again, but would ask for a room with something other than twin beds.

"Great hotel"
Great hotel. A little out of the main stream traffic of the city, makes for a quiet stay. Four blocks away from main shopping, food and transportation street. Bus stop at hotel front door. Had a great time once we figured out the bus routes. Differently buy the all day bus tickets.

Nice place to stay for a night. Shared bathrooms were no problem....didn't have to wait once for bathroom or shower. And they were both very clean. Decent neighborhood, and a short taxi ride to anywhere.

"Nice Hostel. Good Location."
The moment me and my best friend walked in, we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff. They do have a buzzer system so I felt safe. They were so nice and helpful. It was a breeze for us to check in. We did have to pay for a "deposit" but we got that at the end once we checked out. They do give you an option to pay cash so that's a plus! There are no elevators so get ready to lift your suitcases upstairs. Luckily we were only on the second floor so it wasn't too bad. We did keep in mind that it's a hostel. The hostel is clean and so are their restrooms. We got into the room and it felt roomy. Small tv but you're in San Francisco, why do you even need to watch tv?! The bathrooms and showers were kept nice and checked quite often. There is only street parking and it does get pretty packed. We only had to walk a block when we stayed.
