Charming staff but building deserves upgrading.
Best features were the food, the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff. There have been brave attempts to refurbish this 18th century country house focused mainly on the wedding business. The rooms need an upgrade and the work done to modernise the bathrooms is decidedly ‘cheap and cheerful’. Biggest problem is the building itself and the vast of investment that the management would need to commit for the refurbishment this grand old building deserves.
