Our main issue with this chain motel was that I had reserved a triple room for my 80-year-old parents and 70-year-old aunt. Not surprisingly, the room was tiny, and the third bed consisted of a trundle that pulled out from underneath one of the twins, leaving no space to move in the room. Problem - the trundle was broken and could not be lifted off the floor. My aunt, not a complainer, informed the desk the next day and was told it would be fixed. It was not. When I brought it up with the clerk the next day, who was ringing his hands as I spoke to him like something out of a Dickens novel, he was not responsive. After pressing him, he offered one free breakfast as compensation, which to me did not mitigate what my aunt had to put up with for two nights. One other issue. I asked for a wake-up call the first night and never got it...the same clerk was unapologetic. And when I called on the second night at around 10:00 p.m. to talk to someone about the fact that my aunts bed was still on the floor, there was no answer.
These folks are probably operating under the assumption that because we were American, there was little we could do....but I will not use this chain again.
