“Friendly and Nice”

We stayed at this hotel overnight on the to/from to Bois Blanc island vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room for the first night was a suite w/ 2 queen beds and a sitting area w/ a sofa bed. The second stay we had a basic double. We had a small sitting balcony w/ both rooms. We were surprised at how quiet the room was despite being on the main road in Cheboygan and being on the river w/ boat traffic and having dogs allowed. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and compact. The complementary "continental" breakfast is limited to waffles, cereal, toast, coffee, juice, etc. Don't expect a meat and hash browns type meal. The food is good and fresh. The breakfast room is small w/ limited seating. That said the hotel is centrally located w/ plenty of places to dine or shop for supplies near by. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends as a basic clean comfy stay over destination.

“Best Western on the Cheboygan River”

Great rooms, the friendliest hotel staff I've been around in the States, great location, beautiful scenic view everyday of the river...all-around nice, quiet place to stay and RELAX. I will highly recommend this motel to others going to the area.

“Trip to Michigan”

We had to go a down a narrow flight of stairs to get to our room (kind of felt like going down to the basement), but it did have a great porch in back that opened up to a beautiful view of the River. Everything was clean, and the place was conveniently located.

“Nice River location”

Pretty much the only place really to stay in town. It is quite dated and most of the doors are direct outside access which in Michigan winters is tough. The staff is friendly and the views are extremely nice.
