Great location and value.Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: The view, price, and rooms.
The Hotel is located on its own stretch of beach where families can relax in the water and play in the sand when they are not exploring the area which includes Mackinac Island and other historic locations. Obviously the building itself is a little dated but the bathrooms are extremely clean and it is obvious at the cleaning staff work hard at their jobs. the continental breakfast few extras that everyone enjoyed including hot sausage with gravy and hard boiled eggs and cereal, etc.. Waking up to a lakeside view is exhilarating and the staff couldn't be nicer.

Nice hotel on the beachPosted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: location & price.
Cons: Firmer pillows.
Room was nice & clean. Beds are firm but the pillows were too soft for my liking. Tried using 2 pillows but that was too much pillow. Overall a very nice stay though.

One night visitPosted 19-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, comfort
Cons: The rooms were slightly dated but comfortable - and we weren't there to spend lengthy times in the rooms.
Location: Shopping, easy access to Mackinac Island, pleasant restaurants.
Stunning view of the lake, accommodating and friendly hotel staff, they helped with local connections to Mackinac Island. Comfortable beds and pleasant room. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St. Ignace.

Room for improvementPosted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: The rooms were clean. Nice bathroom. There was just enough space.
Cons: I only gave you a 4 because for me, there were a few issues. I would really have like to see a pop machine and ice machine on all floors. Also, you
Location: The Galley restaurant was great and the Hillside was horrible. The boardwalk was very enjoyable.
Overall it was an ok experience. I would probably come back, but would love to see a few improvements. I listed those below.

Great rate, room, and view, however...Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: The view, the size of the room, the rate, the staff.
Cons: More thorough cleaning of the rooms.
Location: The location was right on the late, looking out at Mackinac Island. Right outside of Saint Ignace, lots of little shops around and good food.
We loved this hotel the minute we walked in. The hotel is a little older, and it does show that, but it's very quiet, friendly, and the view from our balcony was amazing. The back yard leading out to the water was pretty neat also. Benches, swings, disc golf, and a playground. However, with further inspection of our hotel room, we discovered that one of the two beds in the room had hair all over the sheets, and pillow. It wasn't head hair either. Pretty gross. After jumping in the shower, we discovered more hair in there as well. The hotel, staff and area was great. Just the extra amenities that came with the room were a little gross.

Lake FrontPosted 6-Jul-2014
Pros: Affordable, clean, comfy, great views of the Lake and Island.
Cons: Hot tubs
Location: Right on the Lake, located on the far end of the main strip going towards casino. We drove to the Ferries but they offered shuttle service.
Great experience, we will definitely stay there again. Older hotel with remodeled bathrooms which are very nice. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and not grungy. Our hotel room was on the main level so we could walk right out to the Lake. They had several fire pits, area for the children to play, deck for sun bathing, wooden swings to enjoy the views of the Lake and Island. The indoor pool was nice...very warm. 2 hot tubs that were ok. The continental breakfast was good...gravy and biscuits, sausage patties, muffins and Danishes, cereal, bagels and English muffins, juice and coffee. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience.
