Lodge room was spacious. Stayed on the 2nd floor in room 222. Old world charm with special Vermont and Austrian finishing touches. Staff throughout resort was courteous and friendly. Will be back!

Lovely getaway place!
A superb mix of Austrian style with and American mindset (huge rooms with couches, tables... extra spaces and everything :), queen beds that are considered kings in any other countries in the world, an enormous pool, large everything really :)) while away from noises of roads and the town. The pool, fitness center and hot tubs are also above average. An outstanding hotel and location!

The property has a superb location. The Bierhall was splendid and so was the Kaffehuas. The hotel itself gives a very dated look and should be improved to have more modern look and feel, especially from inside. There are too many pictures of the Trapp family (at least 5 in each room), which should be replaced with some artwork or something neutral. Too much of a good thing is not necessarily a good thing!!

This was amazing in every way imaginable. Simply a beautiful property and the entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and just seemingly all around great people. I would recommend this to anyone willing to listen. Simply oustanding. The room was beautiful and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet was terrifc, and wow, the view and the grounds themselves were magnificent. 12 stars!

Cost did not match value.
Most of the staff did not seem happy. They came across as overworked or just not that interested. The massage was sub par. The hot tub was not working. It is all very expensive and just didn't seem to match the value.

Hotelは古いとの評判もあったが、本館の463号室(Premier Room, 2 Queen Beds)はすくなくともRenovationしてあり、とてもきれい。浴室もとても清潔。Bed２つにさらにSpaceがあって、窓側にはTableもあり、ベランダからはきれいな景色が見える。レストランはボリュームもあり、おいしい。シュニッツェル32USD。カクテル15ドルなど。朝食はKoffeehausまで1/4マイル歩いて行ってみた。グラノラ+Maple syrop、スコーン４ドルなど。大きくて食べ応えあり。おいしい。全粒粉のクロワッサン４ドル。Latteもおいしい。 通りの向かいにあるPoolも広くて、新しくてきれい。着替え場所や水着の水を取る機械もあり。Hot tubは修理中で残念だった。History tourは90分で1週間のうち一部の曜日で開催。とても興味深い話が聞けた。

This property is absolutely gorgeous! The bierhall is within walking distance of the main lodge and beers are brewed on property. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to any needs we had. Cannot recommend this property enough! We will absolutely be back!

Unique place with beautiful surroundings, landscape, trails etc. I must say though the entire facility is in bad need of of upgrade. Front entrance and desk absolutely horrible, outdated, dingy. After the rebuild on 80s, haven't touched much. Way out of date.

Stay at the lodge and take all the tours (they are included in the cost of your stay). So much history and information and spectacular scenery. We walked all thru the lodge to see all the historical photos and memorabilia. Recommend you do the same!

Beautiful property with great walking trails. We did the Brewery Tour and Von Trapp history tour which were both great and included in the resort fee. Our room was spacious, had a big bathroom and wonderful views. We enjoyed our long weekend getaway there.

Although the history of the Von Trapp family was interesting, I was disappointed in the hotel it self. It was dated rather than charming. If heading to Stowe, maybe stay in Town or at the new facility at the base of the mountain.
