“Friendly staff and comfortable”
The Northern Lights Lodge, in my opinion was quite comfortable and conveniently located to the new Spruce Peak Arts Center. Bathrooms have just been remodeled and the room was clean and neat. The staff was quite friendly and the full breakfast that came with the room was very good. I would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.
“snow in stowe”
comfy room. awesome amenities-indoor pool, whirlpool, full breakfast. i luv this place!!!!!!
“Big Bang for the Bucks”
Don and I had a delightful stay at the Northern Lights Lodge. We appreciated the nice facilities, the good breakfast, and very helpful and friendly services. The proprietors, Michael and Shannon are a lovely young couple that has much pride in their place, work very hard to ensure every guests' satisfaction, and made us feel welcome from beginning to end. We highly recommend this Lodge for its great overall value.
“BOOK IT.”
I'm very confused to see Northern Lights with such a low rating. The inn is certainly not brand new, but you can see the owners are working hard to keep it in good shape (especially considering the heavy traffic of touristy skiiers/snowboarders who, I imagine, scrape their equipment against the walls and walk through the rooms with their boots on). Our room was in the main lodge and a GREAT price for Stowe in the middle of ski season. We had an AWESOME stay. The room was SUPER clean (no frills, but VERY well kept), the bed was comfy and we kept warm and snuggly the whole time we were there. Plus, we got to use the pool, sauna, hot tub AND the little arcade with no one else around! The breakfast buffet (FREE breakfast buffet, I may add) had fresh-baked muffins, scones, french toast (!!), eggs and bacon, when really, they could have thrown out a basket of crappy bagels and cold cereal and called it a day. Northern Lights is a GREAT place to stay. Don't let anyone else review otherwise.
“A Funky Place With A Rustic Charm”
The Northern Lights Inn is a bit on the rustic side but the staff is wonderful and the surroundings beautiful. The room was a bit shabby but more than adequate. Breakfast was good and the home baked muffins excellent. We went right before the 'sticks season' (after all the leaves had fallen off the trees) but before the snows. We would stay there again.
“Nice place”
Nice hotel, friendly staff and in a peaceful setting. Room was fine, if small, but that was OK because that was what we'd paid for. It was only for one night. Best part was the included breakfast - by far the best we had on our trip. It was a buffet with lots of choice including cooked breakfast options. Some of the food was clearly home made.
“Great place & owners”
The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and ideas, not only for this area but other areas they knew. Breakfast was home-cooked and delicious!
“great breakfast”
This hotel is basic but clean. There isn't a hairdryer, coffee machine, fridge or microwave but the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic.
“A good basic place”
You can tell that this hotel used to (or maybe still does, at other seasons) have more going for it. The room in which breakfast is served was half blocked off, and there was a bar that was not in service. But for what it is now, and for the price, this was pretty good. The room gave the impression of not being real solidly constructed, but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite good--eggs, sausage, pancakes with (of course) real Vermont maple syrup. And the staff was very friendly. I would consider going back if I were back in the area.
“A practical choice in Stowe”
Not a luxury lodge, but spacious rooms, very friendly helpful staff, nice pool, sauna, & hot tub. Very convenient to Mt. Mansfield for skiing.
