“Spacious yet cozy”
We had a great experience! The room was much larger than we thought it would be, plenty of space for our ski equipment and other luggage. The fireplace added a cozy touch. We had a nice time relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of skiing.
“Good deal.....if you get what you pay for!”
I've no complaints at all about this hotel other than I was expecting Breakfast which was only provided at the weekend despite booking well in advance for Bed & Breakfast.
“Was Okay For The Night”
It wasn't the best, but it was okay for just one night. We did stay here during the "off season", so that may have made a difference. The location was good. The hot tub didn't look very clean (had an odd smell to it and when we tuned it on the jets sprayed water everywhere). The indoor pool had some cracks around it as well. The room was average, we did have some cracks on the bathroom tile, but everything else was clean and in working order. The outdoor pool looked nice, but we weren't able to use it because of the weather. I think that we expected more from what we had seen/read on the website. Overall, it was a llittle dissapointing, but the location was nice.
“where's breakfast”
Very high standard of comfortable and spacious accomodation. The room was a suite in the true sense of the name.Unfortunately the service did not match the accomodation despite the efforts of the young man on the front desk.No coffee was provided for the coffee makers, the swimming pool was cold and there was no full breakfast provided as detailed on the booking confirmation. We were informed that the owner had decided to serve breakfast only on weekends. We were informed that a seven dollar rebate per person would be refunded but to date this has not arrived
“good hotel if you do not want service”
We really liked the place, good location, good facilities, good price. However the management was awful. Not there in the mornings and not available to get information from. Internet not available in room but was there in lobby, paid for breakfast not available - only at weekends sir - if you stay there dont be put off, just request some money back and get a great breakfast in town.
“Could be better but certainly worked for the price”
Room was clean; fresh cookies in lobby; breakfast was good but didn't start until 8:15. Staff was helpful when we asked questions and they had bikes to use. It was convenient to Stowe which was a plus. Nice indoor pool area. On the minus side, the outside pool they advertised was a hole in the ground and hadn't been functional for some time and there was no person on call in their lobby after hours if you needed something.
“A hotel run by the cast of Clerks.”
We had to change rooms as our original room smelt like something Really Bad had happened in our room and it had been overly cleaned. The smell was so acidic it started to burn your throat! There was also no coffee in the rooms, despite there being coffee makers. When I asked for coffee the guy on reception said there had been a mistake in the ordering and gave me some loose coffee instead! We also had to sort out our own pillow cases and towels as the room wasn't finished I get the impression that the owner of this hotel doesn't visit often, so doesn't know that the standards are simply at ticking-over level. The staff were all young and happy to hang about chatting rather than striving for excellent customer service. Noone was rude or anything, just a bit like the kind of staff you might get in a 24hr petrol station at 3am.
“Fine place”
The rooms are standard. The lobby and the breakfast area are nice. I liked the pool. Well located in Stowe, near everything. Quiet place. Just beside a really nice bakery and take out food.
“Motel that calls itself a Resort”
This Hotel advertises itself as a Resort. While the Lobby is very nice (and good for pics on the internet) it's actually a motel. The rooms are clean, but have not been updated since the 70's.
“Needs updating”
Room ammenities offered jet tub. Not my room. Would have been nice to know which room had it. Room ammenities offered fireplace in room. Doesn't turn on until late October. That would have been nice to know ahead of time. Free wifi? Computer not working. Laundry services? Broken. Pool was falling apart and desperately needed cleaning and treatment. Room was clean and comfortable enough, just lacking some ammenities that I had particually been looking forward to.
