“Fine mountain resort for skiing”
If you like to ski in a very pittoresque littla village, then this is it. The ski station is at walking distance from the hotel. However, if you are looking for great night life, you might be a little short changed, since Quebec City is half an hour's drive on highway. Great rooms, staff is very friendly and the scenery is great. For summer season, the prices are good and low since the ski station is closed, but actually for the Quebec region, this is a good deal since other hotels are very expensive in the city.
“Can't wait to go back”
Beautiful place with all the mountains around the hotel. The hotel is nice and clean, and is about 15 minutes from downtown Quebec by car. There is a mini super near the hotel and a spa and golf very close. Breakfast is not good but the restaurant at the entrance of the road to the hotel is very good and cheap. All the hotel staff is very friendly and help you with all you need.
“a very good choice for travelling in Quebec”
I went to this hotel both summers last year and this year. It is a very quiet, clean, and comfortable hotel with considerate staff members. If you travel to Quebec City and you drive yourself, it is a very very ideal choice.
“Fresh Air”
Lovely setting, and, in the summer, the air is a good deal fresher than in Quebec itself, which can be very humid. A quick and straightforward drive to Quebec - took about 25 mins.
“good place to stay”
Staff extremely helpful and nice to talk to. Go out of the way to make your stay purposeful if you want to visit the city and do a lot within the time frame. Room that I stayed in was neat and every thing was fine. I feel that the accommodation could be little less expensive. Place is especially desirable if you are into other recreational activities and enjoy the nature.
“nice mountain view”
continental breakfest was way to expensive for what you received, and pool and activities where not included with that hotel, bar closed to early.
“nice place”
15 minutes from Quebec city, beautiful view
“A good choice, unless...”
Overall this hotel was good, especially for the price I paid. You can really find good bargains during the low season (spring). What I really dislike was the noise made early in the morning. Every morning I was able to hear the four wheeler of one of the staff members working outside. Also you have to have some means of transportation if you are staying at this hotel and want to explore the area. This hotel is close to Quebec City but the ride is not really pleasant because all the construction they have going every 5 Km. Therefore if you do not mind to be woken up early in the morning by the noise and to drive to get places, I will recommend this hotel.
“Nice and affordable”
Nice hotel 15km outside of QC. Easy drive to city downtown. Ski resort, very quiet off season, beautiful scenery, nice staff, speak some english. No cable TV in room, only one English channel
“If given the chance I would definitely book this hotel again.”
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Stoneham. The rooms were clean, and the atmosphere was peaceful. even though there was a lot of people using the hotel at the time, you would not know, the rooms were very quite. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people.
