Rooms
Room sizes, furnishing and rates vary, from standard to superior. Some rooms, in the oldest part of the Hotel from the 1880s, have their own window bays or Juliet balconies overlooking the heart of the city. All rooms are bright, furnished in a Scandinavian style with cozy beds for an excellent hotel experience right in the heart of Stockholm. The Hotel has a four star rating, Svanen environmental certification, is fully non-smoking and just some 400 m from the Stockholm Central/Arlanda Express terminal.
Room Amenities
Dining
The Hotel's own Oasen restaurant is a very popular lunch venue, serving traditional Swedish food on weekdays. Whether you arrive early or late, you can get something to eat at Café Oasen in the Hotel lobby. Hötorgshallen market hall, with an inviting array of food, is also opposite the Hotel. And Kungshallen food court, with 15 restaurants and 800 covers under one roof, is on the other side of the square. Great dining experiences await you at the array of small restaurants surrounding the Hotel and on Kungsgatan shopping street. Many of them are really popular, so we recommend you book a table a few days in advance. Don't hesitate to contact Hotel reception before or during your stay—they’ll be happy to suggest their favorite restaurants and will help you book a table.
The Hotel does not have a license to serve alcohol, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by, and there is a Systembolaget wines and spirits retail store in Hötorgshallen, opposite the Hotel.

“Overall very happy”
The location, price and staff are excellent. My singular complaint is the beds could use an upgrade.
“The best breakfast in the world.”
Excellent hotel in the heart of Stockholm , the staff very helpful, and located closed metro and amenities. Very satisfied.
“Great Service & Location”
We arrived before check in time and were lucky to get in to our room at 10am. The location was great! Close to everything.Breakfast buffet was good and many diffrent items to chose from. I hurt my knee the last day before leaving and they had crutches for me to use free of charge. Front desk was very helpful with directions and info on the city. The only thing negative was our room never got very cool. We were on the top floor and the temp outside was warmer than usual & the bed had a comforter that double for a sheet which was to hot to use. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would go back. Also had free bike to use if you liked. Again, GREAT LOCATION!
“Nice quaint hotel in a great location”
Great location, staff very friendly. Room was small but very clean.Definitely a very nice hotel in a great location . Fresh market just outside Hotel.Excellent breakfast is included.
“Really wonderful hotel in the heart of Stockholm”
We stayed at the Hotel Rica in Stockholm for two nights at the end of April, 2011. I considered very carefully many other hotels and definitely made the right choice. This was a really great place to stay. We had three in a standard room; we had two twin beds and a cot, which made the room a bit snug but we still had room to walk around, even with three suitcases and various carryons strewn around. Our room was spotlessly clean, modern, updated. The staff was very pleasant. The breakfast in the beautiful wintergarden was incredible: fruits, meats, eggs, bacon, many types of fish, cheeses, breads, cereal, yogurt, juices, pastries, caviar, coffee and an espresso machine. The location is perfect; the front door of the hotel faces Hotorget, where the flower market is held on Saturday mornings. Drottninggatan, the main shopping street, is on the other side of the hotel, and it leads directly to the Gamla Stan, the old town. It's an easy 15 or 20 minute walk. we loved this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
“Best Breakfast in Town”
The Hotel itself is lovely; the breakfast area is beautiful, spacious with high ceilings (6 stories) and lots of light. The breakfast buffet selection is incredible, fresh and delicious. Our room was on the 6th floor next to the elevator, which made for tight quarters with a child. Otherwise a wonderful bargain for the price!
“Great location in central Stockholm”
Great location, near the main metro line. Tiny rooms, but fine if you don't plan on spending much time inside.
“pleasant staying”
nice hotel, the location was great. The room was small but well maintened and clean. The stuff was friendly and helpfull. The price was adequate enough for the staying, thought it was during a big convention.
“Nice Hotel, Very Smal Room”
Hotel was clean, but room was very small. Difficult to store luggage. Bathroom was good. Television was awkward to watch as it was to the right of the bed. In Room safe was out of service. There were issues with the elevator not stopping at certain floors. We stayed in the hotel 4 nights and this was not fixed. Buffet breakfast was comprehensive and service very friendly in the breakfast room. Check in and check out fast and efficient. Real Time Departure times for Arlanda Express train to the airport in the lobby. All in all good experience.
“Stockholm good hotel”
Very short walk from the train station. close to subways and buses. walking distance to everything. great breakfast. make sure you get a room that opens to the center of the hotel. surrounded by shopping area. great location and well worth the money
