There is also a bar menu available. Publik Restaurant & Bar, popular with hungry and thirsty shoppers, is on the third floor of PUB department store, and is accessible by elevator directly from the Hotel. Kungshallen food court, with 15 restaurants and 800 covers under one roof, is opposite the Hotel. Great dining experiences await you at the array of small restaurants surrounding the Hotel and down towards Stureplan. Many of them are really popular, so we recommend you book a table a few days in advance. Don't hesitate to contact Hotel reception during your stay—they’ll be happy to suggest their favorite restaurants and will help you book a table.

As well as restaurants, there’s great entertainment on your doorstep, along Kungsgatan and down towards Stureplan, just five minutes' walk away. If you want culture, head south along Drottninggatan, via Kulturhuset cultural center, the Swedish House of Parliament, Royal Palace, and continue to the Old Town (Gamla Stan), some 10 minutes’ walk away. You can get to many of Stockholm's major theaters within a few minutes, and as well as the historical Centralbadet spa with its health center and gym. Tickets to a wide range of sightseeing tours are available from reception. The Filmstaden Sergel multiplex is just 50 m from the Hotel, on the same site as Hötorgshallen, an amazing indoor market right, which is a must-see.

“Good place in Stockholm”
This hotel is in a good location--walking distance from the main train station but not too close. Easy walk to Old Town and other places. Good for shopping.
“An excellent hotel to explore Stockholm”
The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and within walking distance from the historical area and in the middle of the shopping district. Breakfast buffet was included with our room and it was impressive. Wi-fi was also included. Staff is helpful and we got upgraded to a better room. We would go back to this hotel.
“great place”
Great location, easy to get around town. Rooms were large. We arrived early and asked if we could store our bags and they just checked us in early.
“Decent hotel”
The room was small and a bit noisy. The plumbing, in particular, was quite loud. That said, the room was large enough for sleeping in, it was clean, and everything in it worked. The best features of the hotel were the location, which was convenient to many of the important sites in Stockholm, and the breakfast buffet, which was tasty, filling, and free.
“Israeli in Sweden”
Hotel staff was very supportive and responsive. The hotel is located at the center of Stockholm shopping area and walking distance to Stockholm attractions. Althogh we had Wireless Internet at the room the reception was poor which caused many disconnects.
“Great location, surprisingly quiet room”
I was impressed with the convenience of this hotel's location. It was just steps away from the Hotorget metro stop, just one stop away from T-centralen/City terminalen. The hotel was in a safe and lively shopping area with a variety of restaurants nearby. I'd compare this to staying on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The hotel breakfast offered many good hot and cold food options, but the environment could be a bit crazy. When we checked in, the receptionist warned us that 9:00 a.m. was a particularly busy time. We found that a late breakfast (10:30 a.m.) was well worth the 'picked over' effect because of the peace and quiet. Look for tour group schedules posted next to the elevator. You probably don't want to arrive for breakfast at the same time that they do.
“Tiny room with an even smaller bathroom”
I booked this hotel based on the good reviews it had. The hotel itself was clean, modern and well kept. However, I found the room TINY and the bathroom shower even smaller. I am a small gal (5'5 130lbs), but I had problems knocking my arms/elbows on the tile wall as I showered so I can only imagine what a larger, tall person would deal with... My standard is the hotel room needs to be as nice or nicer than my own personal bedroom and this didn't make the cut in my opinion. I understand that hotels in downtown Stockholm are pricey, but next time I will pay double or triple to get a normal sized room. This hotel felt like a weird mix between a hostel and a 4 or maybe 5 star hotel - that the best way I could explain it.
“Good value for money”
Overall as a frequent traveler i would recommend this hotel. The location is very good, easy access from airport via train The stuff very friendly. The breakfast buffet one of the best we have ever tried ! There was only a problem with the cleaning of the room and the changing of the bed-sheets, but once we mad a complaint they immediately took some actions.
“Basic place to stay”
Stockholm is very expensive, so for a basic lodging this hotel is good enough. All the essentials are there in a no nonsense style. The desk clerks were helpful and cheerful. Nice big breakfast. Parking garage worked for us. Location right in the center and close to subway and buses was very convenient.
“A MUST!”
As a frequent international traveler, I often find myself at high-end, mainstream luxury hotels that are typically centrally located and provide amenities and ease while navigating my way around an unfamiliar city - for a premium. I booked this trip on a whim and wanted to try something different. Rica Hotel Kungsgatan was refreshing! The hotel is just a few blocks from the city's central [train] station, a 20-minute ride directly to/from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, and truly in the middle of it all; everything is within walking distance, and the hotel is literally housed within one of Stockholm's department stores for all the shopaholics out there. I was greeted by what I have come to know as a consistent team of attentive, helpful, caring and an incredibly nice staff/associates. To my satisfaction, my room was ready early. Though rooms are not very spacious, I found my room to be quite comfy. All guests receive complimentary wifi internet usage. Also complimentary, the hotel's breakfast buffet provided such a wide variety of food and beverages, including an array of meats, cheeses, smoked fish along with a selection of cereals, yogurts, breads, etc. and newspapers (various languages). I'm not typically a morning person, but I actually looked forward to the morning hours during my stay! I would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel. Rica Hotel Kungsgatan was a pleasant surprise, and I'm looking forward to my next visit to Stockholm! Hope this helps.
