“Convenient & comfy/best at Stockholm airport”

The hotel is somewhat old but comfy like worn shoes. There is another spanking new Radisson directly inside the Terminal - a very classy place but also a very sterile place. This Radisson just (0.5 mile from arrival) - is much more enjoyable - even if it takes a bus ride/taxi ride. Also this hotel is about $100 cheaper/night. By Swedish standards it is a 4-star place, but by American standards it is a 3-star place.... main reason is the size of the rooms - European style / small. Still, I will recommend it to anyone who wants to stay over at Stockholm airport, as your best choice.

Area recommendations

If you go downtown stay in hotel next to Railroad Station (where Arlanda Express arrives). Select a hotel next to RR station - Radisson, Sheraton, Nordic Sea. Enjoy Old Town within wlaking distance.

When to go

Best season is May to August.

Must see

VASA Museum and Skansen.

Dining

Stockholm has mainy excellent restaurants with local and/or cosmopolitan fare. Old Town is best spot to find many famous/historical places.

“Good airport hotel”

This is a good hotel to stay at if you need to catch a flight in the morning. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was good. I wouldn't stay here to go sightseeing in Stockholm, though. It's too far away from the city and expensive to get there.

“Good for an airport hotel !”

Room was comfortable and hotel is well located for those early morning departures - with a very simple shuttle bus running regularly. Breakfast service starts at 4:30 too, so an added convenience. Staff friendly. Room was not quite maintained as would have expected though- phone was not working and picture on TV very fuzzy on most channels.

“Good Alternative to SkyCity Hotel”

If you need or want to be at the airport and can't get a room at the Radisson Blu in SkyCity, this sister hotel provides a nice clean alternative accessible by a short ride on a shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes. When we booked through Expedia, we thought we were staying in the airport, so there was great confusion when we went to the other hotel. The staff stars, as does the restaurant with it's limited menu and outstanding breakfast buffet that's included. The smoked salmon was so delicious, a taste of it elicited a comparison to Petrossian.....but of course we would never give it the same marks, even if it was deserved.

“Second time staying here and enjoyed both”

Hotel is conventient to the Arlanda airport and the staff upgraded us to a businees class room. Food in restaurant was great.

“Excellent airport hotel”

Hotel is across street from rental car return and has shuttle to airport (10 min ride), making hotel most convenient at Arlanda airport. I did not hear a single airplane during my stay. :) Rooms are modern, compact and comfortable; we had ample space for ourselves and our bags. Beds very comfortable and clean. Bathroom clean; hot water was hot; cold water was cold; good water pressure and bright lighting. Nice soaps and lotions. So happy we had a flat screen TV, free wifi internet, & refrigerator. We needed an extra bed, and staff had everything set up for us when we arrived; the extra bed was as nice as regular bed. We will definitely stay here on our next trip- made getting to our outbound flight a smooth and easy event.

“Not value for money”

If you have to stay for an overnight stay, well, the options are limited and they are all very expensive. This Radisson Blu's rooms are ridiculously small and with thin walls making it hard to fall asleep if your neighbour is watching a movie! Good restaurant and nice gym and sauna makes it up. Expensive for what they provide and especially if you compare it to other Radissons

“Small, old rooms”

Location is convenient for the airport; easy shuttle ride. Check-in efficient and friendly. Lobby, restaurant, and common areas satisfactory. I had a short overnight stay between flights and a local meeting - I did not have chance to experience the restaurant or any other facilities. The room was dated, small, and musty - not what is shown on pictures. The case may be that there is an old wing and a new wing of the hotel, and my room was in the wrong neighborhood. I would not stay here again - this was not up to the standard I expect of Radisson Blu.

“Nice place to stay if you don't want to be downtown. Great place if you want to be near the airport.”

Great breakfast. Other meals extremely expensive (including the beer and wine) compared to the United States pricing that we are used to.

Area recommendations

As much of Stockholm as you have time to visit.

Getting around

Be sure to use the "Hop On - Hop Off" buses and water transportation. Worked ver well for us to see the sights.
