“A very satisfied New Yorker”

My single room was very small. My open suitcase basically took up all the floor space. But coming from New York, this wasn't really an issue -- especially because the room was so warm, welcoming and cozy. The bathroom was spotless and modern, with heated floors. Great shower. The best part was the location in Stockholm's charming Gamla Stan neighborhood. It's easy to walk everywhere. Even getting to the central train station is only a 15-minute walk (which is nothing for a New Yorker.) Friendly and helpful staff. Free umbrellas available for rainy days. Good selection of TV channels. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Great Location, friendly service”

Hotel was in a great location, 2 mins from Royal Palace, in heart of Gamla Stan (Old Town). But also very close to main shopping area and museums. Good friendly service. Good, quite breakfast room. Rooms comfortable and very homely. Great place to stay!!!

“Would like to return”

Found hotel to be comfortable and in a great location. Single room quite small but bed was large enough. Had a 5 night stay and found staff to be friendly and helpful. Building has great character , and although weather was cold , was warm and comfortable/homely.

Very convenient and quiet location. Friendly staff. Charming and personal decor, somewhat worn, but in process of refurbishment. Comfortable, big beds and nice linnen.

“The most unusual place I've stayed (and that's a good thing)”

The hotel is charming and quite quirky. It's worth the stay just to see all the knick knacks spread throughout. I especially loved the faux ancestral pictures nicely placed in the room. Perfectly located for sight-seeing in Stockholm, you're steps away from the Palace and in the heart of Gamla Stan. Rooms are very comfy, nicely appointed and clean. Bathtub was the largest I've ever seen in a European hotel. I'd definitely stay again.

“Great Location”

The hotel was very nice and a great location for seeing all of Stockholm. The breakfast was very good, although I was told upon checking in that it was included with the price of the room only to find out that it was not upon check out.

“Great Location But Staff Could Be More Helpful”

If you want to explore Gamla Stan, this is your place. Its four-star rating is due more to its location than its comfort, though. Do not expect too much in the way of information from the hotel desk staff. Their suggestions and options for activities are quite limited. Rooms are comfortable but a bit antiquated. Maid service, however, is efficient and thorough.

“Stay here! - It's a local treasure in itself”

The hotel is in a very central location and you can easily walk to all the main sights. The actual interiors of the hotel are quaint as it is part of the Collectors Hotels and so each floor had been decorated uniquely with Swedish traditional artifacts and local art. The Lady Hamilton/Nelson theme sort of stopped on the ground floor but it remained interesting whichever floor you stay on. The room we had was in the attic, light due to the sky lights and quirky due to the beams from the roof being made part of the decor. Good shower with rainforest rose, so quite luxuriant. Breakfast, buffet style and plenty of choice. Would love to stay here again - definitely.
