Property Amenities
Rooms
The hotel’s intimate and romantic atmosphere is reinforced in the 34 hotel rooms by the antique wall cabinets, antique (although now empty) aquavit bottles and traditional wall paintings in the style of folk art from Dalarna Province. Like everything else in this hotel, this is merely a small proportion of the fantastic collection of antiques that belongs to the Bengtsson family, the hotel owners. As part of the rustic theme, all rooms have been named after flowers that are the symbols of different Swedish provinces.
Here you’ll have a comfortable stay with an en suite bathroom that contains a shower, underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. A wireless internet connection, cable television with premium channels and a hairdryer are provided in all rooms.

“Lovely old town setting”
Lady Hamilton Hotel is in the heart of Gamla Stan and the perfect location for enjoying the old town of Stockholm. Excellent service and lovely breakfast. The hotel offers a chance to step back in time. It is filled with sailing memorabelia and other Swedish folk art. The building itself dates back over two hundred years. It is quaint and in good condition, but would recommend it for travelers who like historic settings. Definitely not for someone who wants contemporary accomodations.
“A very satisfied New Yorker”
My single room was very small. My open suitcase basically took up all the floor space. But coming from New York, this wasn't really an issue -- especially because the room was so warm, welcoming and cozy. The bathroom was spotless and modern, with heated floors. Great shower. The best part was the location in Stockholm's charming Gamla Stan neighborhood. It's easy to walk everywhere. Even getting to the central train station is only a 15-minute walk (which is nothing for a New Yorker.) Friendly and helpful staff. Free umbrellas available for rainy days. Good selection of TV channels. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“I would definitely stay again.”
When staying in Stockholm, Sweden, this hotel is location, location, location. Right in the heart of Gamla Stan (Old Town). Very easy to access everything from tourist attractions, boat ferries, Central Station, subway and resturants. Quaint, clean, friendly and great breakfast buffet. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
“I would returnagain!”
Altlhough the room was small, it was clean, comfortable and had more amenities than than most US hotels in the same price category. Because I was a single woman, they gave me a special "spa" gift basket, which was a lovely surprise.
“an enchanting hotel!”
On our first visit to Stockholm this summer, my wife and I had the very good fortune of choosing to stay for our two nights in Gamla Stan at the Lady Hamilton Hotel. This historic hotel is one of the most charming we have ever stayed in (and we have travelled quite a bit and always seek hotels with "character"). It is very tastefully decorated with beautiful Swedish antiques, and at the same time has the finest modern amenities. It is ideally located in the old city. The staff were all exceedingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in any hotel. We would eagerly go back to this hotel if or when we visit Stockholm again, and highly recommend it to others.
“The most unusual place I've stayed (and that's a good thing)”
The hotel is charming and quite quirky. It's worth the stay just to see all the knick knacks spread throughout. I especially loved the faux ancestral pictures nicely placed in the room. Perfectly located for sight-seeing in Stockholm, you're steps away from the Palace and in the heart of Gamla Stan. Rooms are very comfy, nicely appointed and clean. Bathtub was the largest I've ever seen in a European hotel. I'd definitely stay again.
“Delightful”
The Lady Hamilton Hotel is very charming. The folk art is wonderful. Breakfasts were bountiful. My single room was very comfortable even for a week's stay. There was plenty of storage, a large bathroom, lovely large windows, great Cable TV, a most comfortable bed, and a gift basket for solo women. The location is superb. Most sites were a short walk away or easily accessible by ferry. Great local restaurants. The front desk staff was superb...very knowledgeable and helpful.
“Cozy, Unique Hotel”
Cozy little gem of hotel. Very small room with fabulous service. I absolutely would stay there again. This is the opposite of a chain hotel.
“Great location”
The Lady Hamilton is a real gem. Small and elegant with an efficient and friendly staff. Best of all, the hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Gamla Stan and minutes from everything. I highly recommend it.
“Great Location But Staff Could Be More Helpful”
If you want to explore Gamla Stan, this is your place. Its four-star rating is due more to its location than its comfort, though. Do not expect too much in the way of information from the hotel desk staff. Their suggestions and options for activities are quite limited. Rooms are comfortable but a bit antiquated. Maid service, however, is efficient and thorough.
