“Good, cheap option in central Stockholm”

Tegnerlunden is a good, recommendable medium-level hotel a 10-15 min walk north of the central station in Stockholm. The location is quiet and next to a nice park. Furnishing is good and appealing, but simple. Beds were very good. The room was well sized but the bathroom was quite small. The sink was not cleaned for several days but generally room cleanliness was good. Service was very friendly and helpful, full stars here. Breakfast is good and has the usual items, though not extensive in choice. Overall a very good choice if at discounted price.

Bien situé, face à un petit parc arboré et à 2 pas d'une des rues les plus commerçantes de Stockholm. Bonnes prestations : petit déjeuner copieux, chambre très propre, silencieux. et Internet gratuit dans le hall !!!

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really good. Authentic Swedish fish and the usuals.

Situated in a quiet leafy square, the staff are very helpful. The impressive buffet style breakfasts are taken on the 6th floor overlooking the rooftops. I would rate it first class in all departments.

“Very happy with my choice!”

I wanted to stay somewhere a bit away from the city centre, but close enough to be able to walk everywhere. Hotel Tegnerlunden was just that. Shopping and restaurants are practically around the corner, and most sights/museums are within a 20 minute walk. It is also nice enjoying a glass of wine in the lobby while checking email or writing postcards. Public transportation is close by and not difficult to figure out. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and a relaxing start to the day while looking over the city rooftops. My room was clean and comfortable. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. If I find myself visiting Stockholm again, I will like stay here again.

The hotel has just undergone a refurbishment and all areas are very tastefully decorated with unique origional art all around. The reception area is quite small, but there is a very attractive lounge area with comfortable seating where drinks are served. Our bedroom was beautifully light and very clean with a small but very well designed bathroom (shower only) and a lovely small balcony looking out over the park. The breakfast room is light and airy, on the top floor overlooking the rooftops. The continental breakfast was presented very well and the choice was excellent. The hotel is located very close to a Tunelbana station and is also within walking distance of the Central station. Everything was perfect - perhaps it would just be a good idea to pack a travel kettle as there was none in the room.

“A 2 pas de la rue piétionne de Drottninggatan”

Nous y avons passé 2 nuits en amoureux le vendredi et le samedi pour visite éclair de Stockholm. L'hôtel est à 2 pas de la rue piétonne de Drottninggatan qui permet d'aller directement à pied dans la vieille ville Gamla Stan en environ 10 minutes à pied. Nous avons fait toutes les visites a pied à partir de l'hôtel sauf le musée Vasa et Sanksen ou nous avons pris le tramway. L'hôtel donne sur un petit parc. La chambre était de style Ikea et chaleureuse. Elle donnait sur une cours intérieure. Elle était très bien insonorisée. Elle était de taille raisonnable. Le petit déjeuner était un agréable et varié buffet ouvert de 7h30 à 10h le week-end. Comme en 2 jours nous n'avons pas tout vu et que nous souhaiterions y aller en été pour visiter Drottningholm et faire une ballade en bateau dans l'archipel, nous séjournerons volontiers a nouveau dans cet hôtel.

Hotel room was small but very comfortable and clean. Good walk-in shower and water always hot. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast included in price. Great central location - easy walking distance to most sights, shopping street and train/bus links.
