“Would stay there next time in Stockholm”

There is one PC in the lobby where you can use the internet freely. Room is clean, bathroom is small but functional. Breakfast is great, plenty of choices and 6th floor view. If you are a smoker, there is space in the balcony to puff while having your morning coffee. Walking distance to the airport bus stop, city center, and KTH university. Excellent location.

“Bargain!”

Just a 10-15 min walk from the Central Station and literally round the corner from the main Drottningsgatan, this is a great wee hotel for a weekend. On a quiet square with a park opposite, there's no air-con but you can open the full-length window and that's quite sufficient. I was in a single room and it's true that you couldn't swing a cat, but it was comfortable, tastefully decorated and pristinely clean. Bathroom was fine and with a powerful shower. The real hairdryer with an actual plug was a nice touch too! Plentiful and wide selection for breakfast on the 6th floor overlooking the city. Helpful and pleasant staff - not that I came into contact with them much. Certainly Stockholm isn't cheap, but I got an amazing weekend rate (Fri-Sun nights) through Expedia which made it almost half the Thursday rate - and that wasn't bad anyway. Well worth it.

“Highly recommended”

Myself and three others stayed in Hotel Tegnerlunden during a trip to Stockholm. First and foremost, we found the staff in the hotel to be extremely helpful - we were greeted and given all the information we needed in flawless English, and we were able to ask virtually anything at the front desk throughout the day. Recommendations for places to eat or go out were extremely helpful. The rooms were basic (en-sute, clean towels etc but no tea/coffee making facilities), but had everything you would need for a base to sleep in. Primarily, the hotel location was fantastic - it was out of the way enough to avoid the noise, hustle and bustle of the city, but was a short 10 minute walk along the main pedestrianised shopping street from the very centre of Stockholm for most tourist attractions, other shops etc. There was some renovation work being done in the hotel, but this only took place after breakfast and the noise was therefore never a disturbance because we were either out or just about to leave. Breakfast arrangements in the hotel were good (a large buffet offering a wide range of foods), although it could be tricky at times to get a table in the breakfast room for 4 of us. Parties of 2 should have no such problems though as tables were shared if needed. If I was returning to Stockholm, I would be more than happy to stay at Hotel Tegnerlunden again.

“Great little hotel”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful. They called the rental car company for us when we had a dead battery and started the breakfast buffet 1/2 hour early because we had an early flight out. Great location, quiet neighborhood, park across the street. Easy to walk to T-bana or Old Town area. Room was clean, comfortable and very neat. Would definitely stay here again.

“Great value for money”

My girlfriend and I decided stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and very extremely satisfied. Hotel room was an adequate size, design of room was excellent - contemporary, light and warm (be warned Stockholm is cold!!). We were fortunate enough to be overlooking Tegnerlunden Park which was also a bonus :) It is located around the corner from Stockholm University and is within a 10 minute walk to the main shopping centres and main streets. Would highly recommend this hotel, it is great value for money, Stockholm isn't that big it is so most attractions are within walking distance - don't pay the huge prices to stay in the heart of he city centre and stay at this hotel.

“Good for short break in Stockholm”

Great location about 5 mins walk from the central station and from Stockholm's main shopping street, but located on a quiet square. Room was comfortable, and breakfast excellent - would recommend for a short break in Stockholm.

“Very comfortable stay”

Had a great stay at this hotel. It is located in a quiet area of the city yet very accessible to the main sights via a 15 minute walk or nearby public transport options. Plenty of restaurant options nearby. My room was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and dark with blinds and curtain closed allowing for good sleep. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was great. Overall this was exactly what I needed on this visit and I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good value for a very nice and comfortable stay.

“sweet hotel in nice location”

my wife and i stayed at hotel tegnerlunden september 2011. this is a nice hotel that has a great location for tourists to stockholm. walking distance to central station and most sites, yet remote from noisy center. it is the perfect size hotel, small enough to feel intimate yet large enough to offer amenities...free internet including lobby terminal, great breakfast on airy top floor, good restaurants and shops nearby in mostly residential area, helpful staff. the hotel faces a small green park. if the price offered is right, you cannot do better !

“The best value for money in Stockholm”

It is no secret that Stockholm is a really expensive city. Thus, finding a proper hotel without paying too much was a tricky business. Nevertheless, the Hotel Tegnerlunden is a great option. The staff was VERY nice, rooms are bright and warm (which is important in a cold city), and location is very convenient. Just a 10 minutes walk from the central Station, and really a one minute walk to Drottninggatan - a major pedestrian street with shops and cafes (all cities have one). Really recommend to everyone!
