“Ideal for our weekend break”
The hotel has a lovely feel to it with friendly staff, a cosy little cafe attached to it and a great location right in the middle of the Old Town.
“Great secret hotel hidden in Gamla Stan”
This was my fourth trip to Stockholm during the Lucia and Christmas holidays. I was unable to book my regular hotel in Gamla Stan but Hotel Sven was still available so I listened to my intuition and took a chance. The short, narrow street was not listed on my map but MapQuest did help and I was very pleased to see that our location would be very convenient to many places in Gamla Stan and the surrounding area. When my partner and I arrived we were greeted by a couple in the hotel's tiny cafe who offered us delicious, strong coffee. They were not part of the hotel staff but were instead waiting on their room to be ready and assured us we made a good decision as they had stayed there often. We waited about 15 more minutes and were greeted by Eva who escorted us to our room. By Gamla Stan standards it was immense with beautiful parquet floors, four large windows looking out onto the tiny cobblestone square, nice indirect lighting, a recently renovated modern bathroom and a comfortable bed. The breakfast is modest but delicious and more than ample. And each time we passed through the hall we were warmly greeted with a smile from Eva and other staff. Thank you for this opportunity to share our delightful experience.

hotel très bien situé dans la vielle ville, un peu difficile à trouver mais une fois qu'on y est... Très charmant, agréable et spacieux (sauf la très petite salle de bain). Un accueil chaleureux et sympathique. Il se trouve également à 2 minutes du métro (pratique). Le "gros" pb vient de l'âge de la maison qui la fait pencher, si si, l'hôtel penche et les chambres avec, donc qd on dort, on roule... Mais j'y retourne demain !
“Great Hotel”
Great hotel in a fantastic location in the old town of Stockholm. Rooms were well kept. Only downfalls were no phones in rooms or information regarding the hotel and what to do in the event of an emergency, fire etc. Stairs not suitable for anyone with walking dificulties - steep narrow winding staircase up to 3 floors and no lifts.
“A unique experience - and one I would repeat”
Probably the most charming hotel room I've stayed in. Full of character, beautiful decor, comfortable and quiet (despite the city centre location). It might not be to everyone's taste to have no staff on site after 6pm, or the steep staircases, but in 13 visits to Stockholm, this little hotel has left me impressed more than any other.
“Great characterful hotel in Gamla Stan”
This is a classic old town building but recently refurbished in classic Scandinavain style and confort. Room 2 is the biggest room with acres of space and windows on two sides. The staff are very friendly and as a small hotel it feels like you are staying in someone's home. Can be a little bit noisy late in the evening in the summer time with the windows open people out in the street but did not detract from the stay.

Spacious rooms, centrally located in Gamla Stan and at a great price this boutique hotel is definitely worth it!
“Very charming inn”
Perfectly situated in Gamla Stan - plenty of shopping, restaurants and local attractions. Wonderful ambiance, especially at night when the old town quiets down. International clintele; Aussies, French, Brits and native Swedes were our fellow guests. Ample breakfast and cordial, efficient service.
“Exquisite Hotel”
I would recomend this hotel to anyone, the location was perfect and old-worldly. The room was beautiful, and the staff very welcoming. The Breakfast was good. But mainly it has a wonderful location, surrounded by gift shops and restaurants.
