“Excellent choice for a stay in Stockholm”

Excellent hotel well placed for the centre of Stockholm but quiet and peaceful setting on this island.

“Great Location for City Centre”

This modern hotel has a peaceful location on a separate island (connected by a causeway) opposite the city, and therefore has spectacular views over the main waterfront, especially in the mornings. I arrived after midnight, but was still shown to my room by the charming check-in clerk. The rooms were enormous and comfortable, and everything worked, including the fast and free wi-fi. The biggest advantage (the peaceful and pretty location) is the only drawback - every time you want to leave the island it's a 15-20 minute walk, or a bus ride, and another 15 minutes to the Central Station. I was attending a congress in the the south-western suburbs, and this extra half-hour each way every day got old very quickly! In summary - brilliant for a relaxing vacation, and very good for a business visitor to the Congress Centre.

“Hôtel Skeppsholmen à Stockholm”

Très agréable, idéalement situé. Points négatifs : - relativement cher par rapport à la prestation, mais probablement pas plus cher que les autres hôtels comparables de la ville - fenêtres peu isolées de la lumière par les volets extérieurs ... or en juin il fait jour à 4h du matin ! Globalement satisfait, voire très satisfait (accueil très sympathique ne particulier)

“Great hotel, but design triumphs over function at times”

Great hotel in a quiet yet central location. The bus stop is practically on the door step, but beware: the buses stop running before 8 pm on the weekend. The toiletries are lovely, but with some of the bathroom features, design definitely triumphs over function; the rain shower is great, but the shower head on the hose is practically useless. Our room was beautifully spacious, and yet, there was hardly anywhere to put one's clothes and other stuff - one of the bedside cabinets houses the minibar, and there are no spare shelves in the (small) wardrobe. As we stayed five nights, this was a bit of a drawback. A few coathangers with clips for skirts would also have been appreciated. The breakfast buffet is super, and the free wireless internet a great touch. We'll definitely be back, despite the weird bathroom fittings and lack of storage space.

“Hotel Skeppsholmen - Très bien situé sur une ile en face de la vielle ville”

Hotel très bien situé sur une ile en plein centre de Stockholm, en face de la vieille ville, à dix minutes à pied du centre (relié par bus si besoin). Rapport qualité prix très correct, chambre impeccable, accès haut débit internet gratuit, très bon petit déjeuner, calme même en plein été. Aucun problème rencontré pendant un séjour d'une semaine

“le calme à 2 pas du centre-ville !”

Un oasis de calme à quelques centaines de mètres à pied du centre-ville, belles chambres très propres et accueil sympa, comme presque partout en Suède le petit déjeuner est varié et agréable, bref de bonnes prestations qui induiraient un bilan très positif si le tarif n'était pas aussi élevé et un peu hors de proportion.

“I visit Stockholm often”

Everything about the hotel is very nice; except it is a 10 minute walk from most of the best sights in Stockholm. It is however, right next to the Modern Museum and near the National Gallery. It is very quiet; they did a great job in renovating a naval barracks into a very attractive hotel,

“Decent Hotel”

The hotel was decent w/ free breakfast and wifi; however, business travellers be warned that each room does not come equipped with an ironing board! The location on the island was close to the city center and Gamla Stan and is 2 minutes away from the Museum of Modern Art

“Très bon hotel”

Passé la première impression de l'extérieur du bâtiment très austère, les chambres sont OK, d'un design un peu industriel et froid comme le reste de l'hotel. Nous avions un lit double et avons demandé un king bed, ce qui nous a été accordé en nous upgradant de chambre (au troisième étage, avec une chambre beaucoup plus grande et une vue "mer" beaucoup plus agréable). Petit déjeuner OK. Pas de baignoire. La localisation est très bien car Stockholm est petit (tout se fait à pied) et il y a un arrêt de ferry juste à proximité de l'hotel.

“Nice place to stay away from the hussle & bussle”

A nice and quiet hotel as it is a little bit out of the way being on Skeppsholmen. We had a nice stay with a good breakfast. One little niggle was that we would have liked to see a couple of lighter/snack options on the bar menu as a couple of times we just wanted a snack rather than a full on meal and the nearest shop is a 20 minute walk away. The food we did have at the hotel was excellent as was the service.
