“Decent Hotel”

The hotel was decent w/ free breakfast and wifi; however, business travellers be warned that each room does not come equipped with an ironing board! The location on the island was close to the city center and Gamla Stan and is 2 minutes away from the Museum of Modern Art

“Lovely place to stay”

Located off the beaten path on an island that also houses the Modern Art museum a few steps away, the modern (maybe too modern) adaptation of this older set of buildings is still a lovely place to relax in Stockholm. If they could just get the sun to set at a decent hour, that would make it perfect! As for the too modern remark, the sink in our room was a faucet over an oval rock, the water flowing down and around. Makes it hard to spit when you gargle or brush your teeth. Great staff!

“very private and convenient”

Room size was very small, but all amenities were excellent. Staff very accommodating. We arrived at 0800 hours but they very graciously provided us rooms immediately, even the complimentary breakfast was offered on our arrival.

“Beautiful but small”

Had an upgraded harbor view room. Beautiful locale but tiny even by european standards and bathroom was extremely small. Shower flooded the room constantly. Expected more at this price.

“I visit Stockholm often”

Everything about the hotel is very nice; except it is a 10 minute walk from most of the best sights in Stockholm. It is however, right next to the Modern Museum and near the National Gallery. It is very quiet; they did a great job in renovating a naval barracks into a very attractive hotel,

Area recommendations

Best to stay in Ostermalm section of town, which is very convenient. Gamla Stan is also nice, the old town, but can be a little noisy.

“great atmosphere and excellent location”

The hotel was great -- very pleasant surroundings, excellent breakfast, great location, etc. The only negative was that the beds were too soft. But everything else was wonderful.

“Cutes Hotel in Stockholm”

This wonderful new hotel is located in the former military barracks dating back to the 17th, on a small quiet picturesque island. It is a short pleasant walk from the tourist center of Stockholm. Rooms are clean and bright, free breakfast is delicious, service is attentive. The hotel's design is Scandinavian, that is, extremely simple and unpretentious, although thoughtful. Staying here, you feel as if you were in the countryside, near the waterfront and forest. And indeed you are, but at the same time you can walk to the downtown in five minutes. Highly recommended.
