“Off the Beaten Path”
Hotel Hansson is a wonderful little hotel in a great part of Stockholm. You are greeted with a beautiful and modern lobby with quaint chairs and a cozy cafe area. The rooms are eclectic and comfortable. The neighborhood has many cafes and bars and local shops. Located on the northern side of the city center, this area of town is much quieter and less touristy than New Town. The hotel is only a few blocks from a metro stop which gives you access to the entire city. The traditional Scandinavian breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day. Extremely friendly staff. HIghly recommended hotel for those who are looking for a unique and memorable stay in Stockholm.

“Nice in some ways--needs remodeling; cramped”
The service was very good; Breakfasts were very good; Staff is accomodating; However, my room was tiny and the bathroom was about 3' X 5', if that. I felt clostrophobic. There was no A/C and with window open there was lots of noise, hard to sleep. Also, the bed was very, very hard. The top floor has been remodeled but the bathrooms are all uncomfortably small. The staff was so nice I'm sorry to have to report the negative aspects of the stay.
“An OK stay at Hotel Hansson”
The hotel was not expensive and made clear it is in the process of repairment. Downstairs it is pleasing, but my room was basic, which was not surprising given that the room rate was low,
“Comfortable but VERY dated, in need of refurb.”
Our room 323 was VERY dated and needs an update. There was no remote control for the television in the bedroom but got one from the reception. No wardrobes or drawers so we had to live out of the suitcase which wasn't ideal but as we were only there for 3 days, it was manageable. Must be a part time hostel as well as the 2 cupboards in the room contained 3 fold out camp beds. Reception was immaculate and the staff were fantastic and very helpful. Location was very good but the bedroom windows had very thin glass and we heard every car that passed the hotel. Continental breakfast was very good and was always topped up with fresh food and best of all it was FREE!!!!! Ok as a weekend getaway but any longer, I wouldn't advise staying there.

“Hotel on the train tracks”
Arrived at the hotel late on sunday night and asked for a quiet room. They never had any street facing rooms ( the quiet ones) - ONLY rooms facing the train tracks. They did however give me a room on the top floor (6). This is a hotel where they have renovated the public areas (lobby, corridors) and have spent a lot less on renovating the rooms themselves. Room was clean but tacky carpets are a turn off. Check out is at 12pm, I asked for a late check-out (2pm). The front desk attendant told me that they can't as house keeping were knocking off at 12pm. While collecting my bags from my room, I politely asked house keeping who were servicing the room next door - they work all day. To add insult to injury I had to pay 18 EURO for parking my rented mini -Renault in the snow overnight....
“Not 4 stars”
The hotel was supposed to be 4 stars- the foyer and restaurant were definitely 4 stars but the room was not much better than some 1 star budget accommodation. Very dissapointed with the room and the bathroom, it was totally different from what i saw on the photographs from the hotel website. Very basic, plain old furniture, dreadfull tiny closet, room was just ugly to best describe it. The bathroom was not much better than at budget hotels, tiny and needs lots of improvement.
“Hansson Hotel”
I do not know how this hotel got 3 star rating. I will not be using it again. The room needed completely re-decorating. There was a large hole in the plaster next to the bed. The floor was uneven due to the fact that something like a fire place had been removed but the surface had never been made good. The plumbing in the toilet needed repair as there was a smell of sewage.
