All guest rooms offer a high 4 stars standard with fully tiled bathrooms, writing desks, free wireless Internet access and LCD TV’s. Smoking is prohibited throughout all areas of the hotel, including the guest rooms. Ironing facilities and Ice maker available.We have guest rooms in the following categories:Classic – available as a single or double room. These guest rooms have an elegant ambience infused with comfort and original details. Superior – inclusive of a coffee/tea maker and a comfortable dressing gown. You also have the choice of requesting a room with a balcony, Jacuzzi or air conditioning. Deluxe – All of our deluxe guest rooms feature a DVD player, a Nespresso coffee maker, a safety box and soft, comfortable dressing gowns. A few of our deluxe guest rooms also have a bath. Our deluxe guest rooms are essentially characterised by quality and design. Small – available as a single or double room (some double rooms with 140 – 150 cm king size beds). The open floor space in these rooms is slightly reduced but offers good value for money if you plan to spend most of your time outside of the hotel.

The hotel restaurant, Kung Carls Bakficka, is a modern tavern with a relaxed ambience and focus on grilled food. Here, you can enjoy a nice meal before venturing out into the hustle and bustle of Stockholm City. If you prefer a quieter table, then ask to be seated on ‘hyllan’ or ‘the Shelf’ which suits both small and large parties.Our Brasserie lunch menu featuring traditional Swedish home cooking is served during weekdays and our popular City Brunch is served at weekends. Outdoor dining is available throughout the summer months with brasserie menu.Our beautiful banquet room with its high ceiling, stucco wall finishes and balconies facing Stureplan is an excellent venue for meetings, weddings, private dinners and corporate events. Our opening hours Monday - Thursday 11.30 a.m. – 12 midnight (dining-room closes at 11 p.m.)Friday - Saturday 11.30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (dining-room closes at 11 p.m.) Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday 12 noon – 4 p.m. Opening hours and range of menu may vary slightly during public holidays and the summer months.Important Information! Our restaurant, Kung Carls Backpocket is closed between the 21-25 of April and 6 of July-8th of August. We can recommend our guests to restaurants nearby. Welcome back!

This was a great hotel in a great area of Stockholm. A great price with friendly staff!

Would definitely recommend this hotel!! The beds were so comfortable, breakfast plentiful and great location with only a 2min walk to the underground trains or a 10min walk to the harbour.

nice hotel in a great location to see stockholm's best! As with many european hotels, no help with the luggage, but they do have a locked luggage room - just no help getting it there. Pleasant staff and good food at the breakfast bar.

The Kung Carl was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff were exceptional. The room was newly renovated and charming. The breakfast buffet was a full menu experience. The hotel is in the very heart of Stockholm and everything was walking distance, including a grocery store and subway. Definately a first class experience. And...Expedia got me a great deal. Loved it.

this once stately hotel has been updated, but a few minor items, such as the shower sink plate or the wash basin stopper should be repaired. The single room was small but adequate. The bathroom was tiny but manageable. The service was impeccable and the breakfast was very good. With its central location, all in all a very good choice.

Bon accueil, grande disponibilité du personnel (mais en anglais seulement) Possibilité de parking et accès internet facilités. Toutefois les chambres sur rue sont un peu bruyantes le week end, préférez celles qui donnent dans la cour intérieure.
“Posh hotel in the center of everything”
Hotel location was the best with easy access to the subway (I arrived at hotel within one hour of landing at airport). I would certainly go back to this hotel if I ever returned to Stockholm. All staff members were pleasant and very helpful. A lot to see by foot from the hotel like old town, the Vasa museum, water taxis and an unbelievable nightlife. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Comfortable with a touch of elegance”
We got a stay for 2 nights get a 3rd free deal. With the price I paid I was expecting less - I was happily surprised. The room was medium sized and beautifully decorated. It even had bath robes and a small fridge. It's about a 15-20 walk to Galma Stan (Old Town) and a 1 block from the metro station. It's in a busy but safe and somewhat upscale neighbourhood. The English pub down the block was good.
