“Will definitely be back”
Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable, clean and the kitchen was great. The complimentary breakfast was incredible: scrambled eggs, homestyle potatoes, sausage, waffles and much more! And this hotel is only about 20 minutes from Wintergreen Resort, so we will definitely be back.
“Our new hotel of choice!”
We were very pleasantly surprised with the excellent condition and cleanliness of our room! The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The bed was comfortable, and there was even a lovely gas fireplace in the living room. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a satisfying variety of breakfast choices. Conveniently located close to Wintergreen; we will be staying here for all of our winter getaway vacations!
“Very nice”
Arrived at 9:30 am way before check in and they were able to get us in a room right away. The rooms are huge and have full kitchens with granite counter tops and stainless appliances. The facilities such as the pool and hot tub were very nice and staff went out of there way to help. I never write reviews but this was such a pleasent stay that I felt I must write a review.
“Great hotel”
The room was in great condition - maybe it was new. The free morning breakfast provided more than we expected - eggs, homefries, sausage, and tons of pastries. The staff worked hard to accomodate us!
“Handicapped Accessability”
My daughter uses a wheelchair and we were upgraded to a larger wheelchair accessable room with no extra charge. The hot tub was great also!
“Super choice for a stay near Charlottesville, VA”
Great value, extremely well appointed and well maintained for a hotel of this type. Pool, outdoor fire pit, hot breakfast included. Farther from Charlottesvill than I would have preferred, but still manageable at about 30 minutes.
“New luxury in Waynesboro”
This is a new hotel, reasonably priced, especially for the comfort level of the room. New appliances, large flat screen, modern decorations, comfy furniture, especially the bed. No restaurant but there is an Outback across the parking lot.

Great value! Very clean and spacious. About 30 min drive to Wintergreen resort.
“Mixed review from a return customer”
We have stayed here before and were so impressed that we decided it would be our hotel of choice whenever we stay in the area. Unfortunately, this stay was not as impressive fas our first for two reasons. First, we were assigned to a much smaller one bedroom suite that we did not feel was comparable to our last visit although we paid the same rate. We stayed two nights but the desk was unable to alter our room assignment for either night. Secondly, I was quite disappointed with breakfast. Breakfast on the weekends is supposed to close at 10 a.m. When we arrived downstairs at 09:15 they were already out of a couple of entrees, including biscuits and gravy. By 09:45 we were scraping the bottom of the fruit bowl. In my opinion, this simply reflects poor planning and disregard for customer satisfaction. Otherwise, I have only compliments. The hotel and room were very clean and well maintained. We were supplied with an extra comforter upon request. The surrounding area is convenient to shops and restaurants. We will return on our next trip and hope that our stay is more satisfactory. If not, we will be looking for our next "go to" hotel.
