“Great hotel”
Excellent standards and staff went out of their way to help.
“Character and comfort in an ideal location.”
Before booking we rang the hotel for general information which we were given clearly and politely. It proved to be an ideal location for our weekend plans. Reception staff on our arrival were welcoming, friendly and gave us useful information regarding facilities and services. Our room was clean and had been refurbished quite recently with modern bathroom fittings and decor. Furnishings were comfortable and storage was adequate for our short stay. Staff in all areas of the hotel were polite, friendly, efficient and created a calm and relaxed atmosphere in all areas. Food was varied and plentiful and the evening meal we booked was very reasonably priced and most enjoyable. This old building has sustained its character even with modernisation in most areas. We would definitely stay there again.
“VERY GOOD”
Hotel staff were very friendly.Parking instructions could be better as it looks like its going to cost you 7pounds per day but if you keep your ticket the Hotel wipes the charges so you don't have to pay.The room we were in apart from the view which was a fire escape but we came to go out and about not to sit and look out the window. The only negative thing I can really say about the Hotel is when you buzz the elevator it makes aterrible noise. We thourghly enjoyed our stay and will definately stay again next year.
“Great value”
We stayed 2 nights at North Stafford and were impressed with the size of room, the olde-worlde charm of the hotel, cleanliness and friendly service from all staff, particularly new receptionist on front desk. Hot buffet breakfast was included and very nice - usual fare. Hotel is really convenient for train station (just across road) and buses.
“Stoked on Stoke.”
Very comfortable overnight stay in this lovely Victorian Grade II listed building next to Stoke-on-Trent railway station and only short bus/taxi ride to The Potteries shopping centre/town centre and convenient for other local tourist attractions. The Hotel has a nice Restaurant which I used for the £6 three course buffet lunch which was excellent value. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and courteous.
“Very Nice Hotel to stay”
Very nice Room with very good light effects and furniture. enjoyed a lot
“Can't wait to go back!”
I was with my girlfriend here for 2 nights. The hotel is right next to the train station and bus stops so is easy to get around. Room was clean and staff was friendly. We will go back soon.
“Traditional hotel, excellent value for money”
We stayed in the North Stafford Hotel for just one night, as we needed somewhere to break up a long drive. The hotel is quite traditional and old fashioned - the floorboards do creak a bit, but that's rather nice actually! Some parts of the hotel could do with updating, but everything was generally clean and tidy, and the dining room in particular looks to have been modernised recently. We found the hotel staff to all be extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner was fine, and extremely good value at 10 pounds for 3 courses. Our room was large and comfortable, and the room rate was also very good for money. There aren't many facilities in the hotel, but as a reasonably priced base for visiting the area or for a short break it's recommended. We would definitely stay at the North Stafford Hotel again.
“Good Hotel”
The hotel is clean and the employees are friendly. Rooms are a small but OK if you just want to sleep there during the night.
“Hotel defo intended for short stays!”
Hotel is cute and old from the outside, downstairs is quite modern too. The rooms are small, toilet flush was broken, had to stretch tv wire to plug socket for it to work! Can hear everything that goes on example the active couple above our room, the floors are creeky too! Hotel does the job if needed for a short stay, like a business trip or a weekend at Alton Towers. Would not recommend to families.
