“wonderful time”
We had a rough start- given a room without a balconey or opening window. But once we were given another room, it was perfect. The staff is so friendly and happy, it makes you feel the same way. We had a wonderful stay.
“So Relaxing”
This hotel is beautiful! The only downside was that the bathroom could use a little updating. We were greeted with a rum punch, our room key and a golf cart to take us to our room as soon as we got off the convenient Westin Ferry. The hotel provides gold carts to get you around, but they are not readily available. Call for one if you really need it. The staff is super friendly, and always willing to pick you up. The beach is not beautiful, but it is fun and relaxing. We liked the beach chairs, umbrellas and water trampoline, etc. They have nice floating mats you can check out for use on the beach or in the pool. We ate at Chloe and Bernard's the first night. We had the five course tasting menu, and it was wonderful. The rest of the night we ate in town. The Vacation Services desk can reccomend some great spots. There is no need for a rental car. The taxis can get you everywhere. Would definitely go back!
“Best place I have ever stayed”
We were upgraded to one of the hotel suites with a ocean view. The suit was incredible. The resort itself is totally beautiful. The staff went out of their way to help us. From the maid staff to the security staff to the main hotel staff, all were eager to help in any way they could. All were also incrediblely curtious. When we did eat at the resorts rsetaurants, we found the food and wait staff to be fantastic.
“Loved the Westin”
This resort is just beautiful. We had a wonderful, relaxing week with our two children, and spent a lot of time just lounging around the Westin pool and beach. The hotel grounds are lush and impeccably maintained. Our double pool-view room was lovely and well-situated near the pool, beach, lobby and shopping area. The room had good A/C and a really nice TV, which we enjoyed during our very limited time spent in the room. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, including the "vacation consultant" who was assigned by the hotel to provide us any needed assistance during our stay. Hotel ferry to the airport was so easy and convenient. Kids loved the iguanas, sipping smoothies at the beach (rum punch for me!), and night-time "dive-in movies" by the pool. Only disappointment was the quality of food at beach cafe and poolside restaurant--for example, nachos served cold and dripping with cheese whiz. We ended up frequenting "Mango Deli" (bagels, pizza, sandwiches, salads and snacks), and had good meals in Cruz Bay en route to and from the beaches. We would go back to the Westin St. John in a heartbeat, and in fact we are already plotting our return.
“Beautiful landscape.”
Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful beach, great taxi service. Would recommend that restaurants at hotel stay open slightly later. Overall, great!
“Treated very well. Will definitely go back.”
Lovely grounds and good location. Great accomodations and really good service.
“The Perfect Vacation - June 2006”
Our vacation to St. John's Westin Resort was wonderful. The hotel's rooms and grounds are kept in excellent condition. The staff is helpful and the island is beautiful. One suggestion would be to rent your vehicle on St. John not on St. Thomas. For snorklers the hike to Leinster Bay and Waterlemon Cay is worth it (about .8 mile on a flat trail). Other snorkling beaches are within a few yards of the parking lots. There are many little shops to explore and an open air market in the town's park near the boat ferry dock.
“One of the best resorts I've ever stayed. Highly recommend.”
The ocean front rooms are definitely the place to stay. You can have great access to the pool, beach, and restaurants easily. The tennis courts are even a three minute walk away. Hotel is wonderful and staff very friendly.
“Very nice hotel”
Spent our 25th anniversary here. Great time. Great resort. Will go back!
“Absolute paradise”
This was one of the most relaxing places I've ever been to!You have everything you need right on site at the resort. The Westin was very well maintained and absolutely beautiful! Food was good with many different selections, and the staff were very friendly, transportation was very organized and convienient The only downfall was the view was a little obstructed of the bay due to sailboats docked in the bay.
