Sapphire Village Resort by Antilles Resorts offers 95 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. Patios open to ocean, garden, or pool views. These individually decorated accommodations have separate sitting areas. Tempur-Pedic beds feature signature bedding. Kitchens offer full-sized refrigerators/freezers, stovetops, microwaves, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations.

“Beach Right Outside Door”
We had a Beachfront Suite in Bldg E. E Bldg is very private with small beach away from the restaurants and oceanfront bar noise. Open your door and you step right onto beach. Snorkeling equipment is free of charge and the reefs offer beautiful views of many fabulous fish. Bathrooms could be updated - service was quick and friendly - will stay here again.
“Convenient location and very helpful staff”
The rooms are the ones "up the hill" from the beach. No big deal walking down the hill. The staff is very helpful and always have smiles. Back to the hotel... nothing very fancy but the rooms are clean there are stoves, coffe maker, microwave utensils and pots and pans but nothing fancy. Sort of seventies era but once again, very clean. I reccommend the village if you are looking for a bargain vacation that is clean and convenient. The beach is also very decent. It was a bummer having to pay for the lounge chairs though. seven dollars a day for as long as you are using them (but then again, you could just place your towel on the sand...I suggest that you rent a car to get around although everything is not far but cab fare could add up. Definitely take a day trip or two to St. John's on a ferry. Three dollar port fee (be careful the lady who works there tends to rib you off if you give her a high bill, count your change before you leave the windo (I was ripped off for ten dollars!) You can even take your car if you like. Check out Chanteel Beach on St. Johns (15 mi ferry ride, not sure if I spelled the name of the beach correctly). It is beautiful and very calm. The bays on the other side of St. John's are just that, beautiful bays but no beach, don't waste your time. Back in Red Hook, there is a local market. The market also has better quality meats and produce than the large grocery stores in the opposite direction of Villages (about four miles away).
“Clean, Inexpensive”
We had a late night flight into St. Thomas, and missed the last ferry over to Tortola. We easily got to Sapphire Bay Resort, which is quite close to the ferry we were taking the next morning. Our studio apartment was very clean and neat, and had all the amenities we needed. The chef/owner of the restaurant, which was 1 minute from our door, was officially closed...however, he opened the kitchen and made us a delicious dinner. I thank the city of Boston for sending their son down to St. Thomas!
“If you like the beach this is the place”
The location was great . Back when it was new it was probably 5 star. Just a bit run down , though I didn't mind ,some picky people might.
“Elegant & Thrifty Beach Resort With Marina.”
How wonderful to be so surprised! After shopping all the STT resorts online, I selected Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina. My room could easily have accomodated 4. From the main resort rooms one can step directly into the sand. I selected a studio, bargain price unit and faced directly into the marina, where my kids had moored their sailboat. Honestly, had I chosen a specific room in advance, this is the one I would have picked. The staff was friendly, polite & helpful. As with many Carribean resorts, this one would not be deemed perfect by stateside standards. There were stains on the tile where the refrigerator previosly leaked and the hurricane door had settled, so it didn't latch. It was easy for me to fix the door without enduring the frustration of going on a maintenance list. As with most resorts in that area of the world, the screens were compromised. Those were minor details for the incredible price I paid. The studio had a nice kitchen, sitting area, sliding doors to separate the bedroom area, large deck, good TV reception & was very clean. In addition, Red Hook nearby made the location perfect. The ferries to St. John run from that port and fun shopping & restaurants make Red Hook a great place to enjoy island life without the congestion and cruise ship tourist over population of Charlotte Amalie. I drove by many of the resorts I previously considered and it continued to validate my choice. I travel alot and recommend this place highly. Loved it!

If you are looking for posh, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a casual, relaxed resort with breathtaking views, Sapphire Village is your place. It is located on Smith Bay and is known for it cool breezes. When you are on other parts of the island you will miss the breezes, which are the best! These are privately owned condo so it is very economical, free local calls without the $1 charge many of the hotels charge. When I return to St. Thomas, it will be to Sapphire Village.

I just stayed at Sapphire Village resort for the second time in 2 years. It is not a super fancy hotel, so if you are looking for that you won't find it here..however what you will find is a nice, cute hotel with a beautiful view of St.John in the distance. Very nice and easy going staff. Housekeepers come about every other day to clean and stock up on towels. The room has a comfy bed, bathroom/shower, kitchen area, nice balcony, very quiet outside the room. The hotel is located in Red Hook which is close to the ferry terminal to St.John, also close to Red Hook dining, with clubs and bars, about a mile away. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Sapphire Beach which is a beautiful palm tree filled beach with volley ball courts, water sports, and amazing views, oh and good snorkeling too, don't forget to bring your snorkeling gear!
