Having recently completed a $48 million dollar renovation and restoration, the Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Beach Resort welcomes guests to a brand new US Virgin Island hotel experience. The Reef Tower features new Caribbean décor and state-of-the-art amenities. Newly renovated USVI hotel rooms offer comfort in a lush tropical setting and now include Marriott signature Revive Bedding. The Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort features LaStone Therapy (massage with hot-basalt and cold-marble stones), a health spa that includes complimentary women's and men's saunas and unisex steam room. Within the spa is a complimentary pool-view, air-conditioned fitness center containing cardio and weight machines as well as free weights.
Three computers in the lobby and two on the convention-center level center provide high-speed Internet connections (surcharges). Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available throughout the resort, including beach and pools. Complimentary activities include trivia contests and iguana feeding. A steel band plays evenings in the lobby.
Complimentary shuttles between the resort's clifftop Frenchman's Reef section and beachfront Morning Star section operate around the clock.
The Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort also offers three outdoor pools, duty-free shopping, and wedding services.

All our guest room feature flat screen LCD TVs, ultra comfortable Marriott Revive bed with luxurious linens, wireless internet available, work desk, mini refrigerator, in room coffee, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
Our guest rooms are located in either our newly renovated Frenchman's Reef Tower, or steps from the beach at our Morning Star Beach Club.
Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort offer 481 guestrooms in two sections. The Frenchman's Reef section includes three buildings set into and atop a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea: an eight-story tower atop the cliff offers views of the open sea and Charlotte Amalie harbor; a six-story tower built into the cliff faces the open sea; and a three-story wing atop the cliff overlooks the harbor. The Morning Star section includes five two- and three-story beachfront buildings (exterior corridors, no elevators) with open-sea views.
Guestrooms at this St. Thomas resort feature signature bedding: Thick mattresses, separate pillowtops, down comforters with white covers, triple sheeting with 300-thread-count sheets, extra pillows, and decorative throws. Bathrooms feature marble vanities and shower/tub combinations with curved curtain rods for extra elbow room and massage showerheads.
Rooms offer contemporary decor and furnishings, including marble-top desks/dining tables with brocade-upholstered chairs, mahogany headboards, tile floors with large area rugs, and rattan armchairs with footstools or rattan chaise lounges.
Other amenities include compact refrigerators, separate icemakers, pay movies, and wireless Internet access (surcharge).

Rum Bar - The Rum Bar and its all new terrace offers views of St. Thomas and its stunning harbor. It is the perfect place to enjoy a nightcap with friends.
Havana Blue - Ocean front views overlooking Morning Star Beach and featuring upscale Latin-fusion cuisine, creative martinis, cigars and fresh seafood daily in an open air restaurant.
Sand Bar - The Sand Bar located on Morning Star Beach, is serviced by one of St. Thomas's most popular restaurants, Havana Blue. Experience the excellent menu of Havana Blue while enjoying the beautiful atmosphere from your beach chair at the Sand Bar.
Sunset Swim-up Bar - Open mid-morning to early evening. Lunch menu appetizers, salads, burgers, shrimp, pasta. Swimup side.
Presto Marketplace Deli - Frenchman's Reef offers convenience and variety for guests on-the-go. A carry-out deli and coffee bar with gourmet snacks, picnic baskets, beer, wine and spirits are available.
Star Market Deli - Located right on Morning Star Beach, this St. Thomas market is open daily serving pastries, fresh fruit, boxed lunches, sandwiches, salads and more. Star Marketplace offers a perfect place to grab a bite to take on your Virgin Island adventure.

Frenchman's Reef Resort features an all new resort pools for our guests to enjoy while basking in the Caribbean sunlight. The white sands of our Morning Star Beach welcomes our guests to the turquoise waters of the USVI. “Our best vacation yet!”
We had a wonderful beachfront room at the Morningstar. It was close to perfect -- really clean, chocolates left for us on the bed, and the beach was a few feet away from our porch! The only problem we had were the mosquitos but I suppose you can expect them this time of year. (though perhaps the hotel staff could have sprayed some repellent) While we were there we were invited to two receptions with free appetizers and cocktails! We also received $200 of food and beverage credit. We had a wonderful time!
“Loved it!”
We highly recommend this hotel. The location is beautiful. Its position high above the Charlotte Amalie harbor provides lots of entertainment. Our whole family enjoyed watching the cruise ships, seaplanes, and various other watercraft arrive and depart both morning and night. You are far enough away from this activity that it is quiet and peaceful. Windows on the Harbor or the terrace off the lobby is a wonderful place to watch the lights of the city come on at night. A large information help desk in the lobby can answer any tourist question that would arise. They will also arrange any tours, if you choose to leave the resort. The pools, beaches, restaurants, and spa will keep you busy for a number of days. Don't miss the observation decks below the Sunset Pool or the waterfall on your way to the beach. We also loved watching the iguanas!
“Awesome - can't wait to go back!!!”
This was our 1st time to St. Thomas and we loved it. Our first meeting with a staff member was when we checked in and she was not friendly or helpful at all and we were thinking we were in trouble... but every other staff member that we encountered was friendly, extremely accomodating, informative, etc. We recommend doing the all-inclusive. It more than payed for itself. The location of the hotel is great, cruise ships went right by the hotel, you were able to wave to the passengers. Taxi's are pricey for getting around, it's cheaper to rent a car, but they drive on the opposite side of the road. The food was awesome at all the restaurants. We were extremely satisfied with this hotel!!!!
“Great place!”
We were impressed with the Morning Star Beach Resort. Upon arrival we had a huge gift bag in the room with champagne, cookies, granola bars, and other snacks. The maid service came each morning and were very thorough and fast. They also came back in the evening to turn down the bed and drop off an evening treat such as truffles, chocolates, and even Cruzan Rum one night. It was awesome! Our only complaint about our room is that all the rooms on the level(only 4)connected with a locked door--you know the type, if you are traveing with friends and the room connects. There was no insulation between the doors and the neighbors were quite loud. That's why we rated comfort of the room at a "4". Otherwise, we loved the place! The food at the Frenchman's Reef was quite good and the short walk to get there was no big deal. (of course you could take the hotel shuttle, but the beautiful walk on the walkway overseeing the Ocean is definitely worth walking) It seems that the food may be pricey, but it doesn't cost anymore than what you would find in town, plus you don't have to pay that massive taxi fee. We ate at Coco Joes twice...overpriced and okay food. Our favorite was the Captain's Corner--Great drinks and try the conch fritters or the fish and chips. You'll love this hotel if you get the attention that we did!
“Would love to go back.”
We stayed at the Morning Star section of the Marriot and it was great. The rooms were clean and close to the beach. CoCo Joes resturant/bar is just a few steps away. The breakfast buffet in the main hotel was wonderful. All the staff was very helpful if you needed anything. I would recomend this hotel to everyone.
“Will return to volunteer again”
This is a hotel that this veteran and her veteran friend(s) enjoy and will enjoy. i will also stay here if i can and think others should do the same. if you are traveling with small children, teenagers, or annoying inlaws--everyone will be happy. i watched many families with great joy. THis was a working vacation for me, but i can not wait to go back.The view of the ocean is amazing and staff goes out of their way to help in anyway. I travel quite often this was all i imagined and more. food great, view great, access to everything-easy. very safe and very relaxing.
“Best Vacation EVER!”
The Morning Star Resort was wonderful! I read many reviews of this hotel before our trip and was very nervous, the reviews were either amazing or horrible. My only suggestion is this: Don't go to an island hotel and expect it to be like a 5 star hotel in a big city. It doesn't look extremely fancy, everything is "island" decor, lots of pastel colors. The weather is hot and humid so there may be a little bit of a musty smell at the hotel (my boyfriend said he could smell it, but I couldn't) Also, what they say about "island time" is true! The pace there is a lot slower than what we are used to, so don't expect anyone to rush for you at the restaurants, hotel etc. You're on vacation, what's the rush for! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Especially if you are the same to them. The hotel was directly on the beach.The beach was beautiful, not too crowded. There are also many iquana and stray cats that live around the hotel. I love animals and enjoyed it, but not everybody will. However the hotel is not overrun by them and they don't seem to be a nuiscence. Restaurants: Coco Joes food was not that great, but its fun to sit beside the ocean. Captains grille was not that great. We really enjoyed Windows, Sunset Grille (Outside seating, beautiful view) and Havana Blue was INCREDIBLE! Be prepared EVERYTHING in St Thomas is expensive, except the booze :)

“A great place to stay in St. Thomas!”
The hotel is located very close to Charlotte Amalie and has beautiful views from the seaside rooms. The conceirge was helpful & available until late in the evening. The shuttle from the main hotel to the beach, other hotel restaurants, and to the dock ran frequently.
“Romantic Honeymoon Trip”
My husband and I stayed in the Morning Star Resort. We highly recommend this! Not only is it closer to the beach compared to Frenchman's Reef, but the villas are more private and inviting. We only had a couple complaints. Servicing our room was very random. Some days this would get done at 11 a.m., and at other times it was 4 p.m. Staff is friendly when not busy. The restaurants on site are great but overpriced. Look for local restaurants that serve great Carribean dishes at half the cost. Also, watch out for the bugs! Buy repellent BEFORE coming to down.
