We liked Dostoevsky House
I was traveled to St. Petersburg with my friend and both of us were very happy with a very friendly staff and willing to help us. We liked this mini hotel very much ffg ir the spacious room, great location and tasty breakfast.

Comfortable stay by the canal
We had very pleasant stay at this hotel. Location was nice by the canal and metro wasn't too far away and there was local grocery stores nearby. The staff was very friendly and communicated well in english. Special thanks for taking care of vegan guests!

The hotel was really at a good location. Metro is at a walkable distance, grocery shop nearby, cafes & places to eat are near too. The rooms are located on the first floor so your window will be next to the side walk, so you’ll be able to hear people walking. But the area is safe.

I like this plase very much! It felt like at home. We walked everywhere not using any transportation because the hotel was in the historical center.

Highly recommended
We only stayed one night at Dom Dostoevskogo, but it was superb. When I book a budget hotel, I tend to relax my standards: I expect budget accommodation to be less clean, less quiet, and less welcoming than more expensive hotels. Dom Dostoevskogo was none of these things. The staff was very helpful when we checked in, providing us with plenty of information about what to see in St. Petersburg. Our room and bathroom were clean, spacious, and quiet. The free breakfast in the morning included all of the fundamentals: toast, spreads, eggs, juice, and fresh coffee. Additionally, the hotel is close enough to the city center that you can walk to most of the tourist attractions, including the Hermitage museum and several cathedrals. If you prefer to take the metro, though, there's a station two minutes away. Most important, though, the staff were very welcoming toward my girlfriend and me. As a lesbian couple in Russia, we were warned time and again to keep our relationship under wraps, but the staff at Dom Dostoevskogo were perfectly friendly and respectful. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Great little hotel.
The hotel is fantastically located. It is close to shops and stores. The Hermitage is about a twenty minute walk away. It was clean and quiet. We were able to walk a loop around town in a few hours stopping by many sites while they stored our luggage. The concierge spoke good English and answered all our questions.

Okay hotel for the price
Me and my fiancee stayed at this hotel for three nights. Positives: Clean room, good beds, good staff, good location. Negatives: Water in shower didn't drain properly, very poor breakfast, no air conditioning, and the street outside is a bit noisy if you want to keep window open at night.

Small boutique hotel, peaceful, very nice staff
We stayed for two nights and would've stay for an other one, but the hotel was sold out for that Saturday night. It was two of us. Beds are comfortable, everything worked in the room. Amenities are very basic. In the lobby they have a huge aquarium. The atmosphere in the hotel very peaceful. Breakfast is included. Very simple: toasts, sliced cheese, croissants. Coffee machine 30 rubles - very cheap. Tea is free. The staff is very friendly, extremely helpful. There is two metro stations near that hotel. One is like 10 min walk the other 15-20. The hotel is in the center of the city. The only problem we had in our room (room 6) the water from the shower would not drain fast enough because of the small drain opening, not the clog up. And the main thing is that the great writer Dostoevsky really lived there, upstairs. That is amazing.

Very nice and homely hotel close to all you need
Our 7 day stay was made most pleasant by the friendly staff at this hotel whom were very helpful. They booked us tours, etc. They speak English. Breakfast is good and plentiful with coffee and tea available all day. Hotel is on the Griboedova Canal. A 15 minute walk along the canal brings you to the main shopping street, Nevskiy Prospect, the Hermitage, and all you want to see are close by. Thus you do not have to use the Metro. But if you dare go down under into the metro then there are 3 stations across the canal. Lots of restaurants in the area. All in all a very nice clean hotel.

Muuten hyvä, mutta ottivat ensin huonevarausmaksun uudestaan (vaikka olin jo maksanut sen Ebookersin kautta). Kun huomautin virheestä, lopulta hyväksyivät tarkistuksen jälkeen tehneensä virheen, mutta eivät onnistuneet palauttamaan väärin otettua summaa luottokortilleni. Sain sen toki käteisenä takaisin. Inhimillinen virhe, ja korjattiin, mutta tarkempi voisi olla jatkossa.

Впечатления от отеля и персонала самые положительные: Удачное расположение - в шаговой доступности достопримечательности, прямо возле отеля на канале Грибоедова отправляются катера на обзорную экскурсию, рядом метро (три станции разных веток), множество точек общепита от столовых до ресторанов Очень приветливый персонал Теплая домашняя обстановка - мини-отель очень уютный, в номерах тихо Парковка во дворе - в центре города это фантастика Состояние номера на 4,5, есть мелкие недочеты Уборка номера и смена полотенец ежедневно

Lage ist super. Personal ist hilfsbereit. Zimmer sind überschaubar aber sauber. WLAN ist mangelhaft, Frühstück ist sehr sparsam (Auswahl ist sehr klein).

Уже не первый раз выбираем этот мини-отель. Прекрасное расположение и тихие номера. Несмотря на морозную погоду в номере было тепло, даже не пришлось использовать обогреватель. Завтрак не брали, так как за несколько дней немного надоедает выбор. К тому же мест, где можно позавтракать в округе предостаточно.

Kleines Hotel im Zentrum
Wir sind zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel abgestiegen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Wer ein normales kleines Hotel im Zentrum von Sankt Petersburg sucht, sollte Dom Dostojewskogo durchaus in Erwägung ziehen. Wir werden jedenfalls gern hierher zurück kommen, sollte uns das Leben noch einmal nach Sankt Petersburg führen.

Очень приятный отель,персонал,отличное место.
Номер просторный и удобный, но есть очень маленькие номера, которые считаются на двоих, но удобно там только одному, поэтому надо следить, что выбираешь. И в нашем номере не открывалось окно, только форточка. Но это не Турция, в Питере это не сильно помешало, хоть мы и были в июне. Персонал очень приветливый, все расскажут, все подскажут! Спасибо им большое. Место шикарное, пешком весь центр, все основные музеи, мосты. Метро в 5 мин. ходьбы.
