Amazing experience on a budget
We stayed 4 nights and booked 2 adjacent rooms. The hotel and interior decor was very much in-keeping with St Petersburg. Our car was secure within an internal courtyard and the general ambiance was wonderful. Breakfast was served in the bedrooms at your desired time. The bed was so comfortable. My girlfriend loved to sit in the wide window alcove. The bathroom was lovely and the place was so quiet. Service was exemplary.

The staff were kind, helpful and generous. They left a gift for my birthday I didn't anticipate. That was prime treatment, and the breakfasts brought to the room were simple but perfect.

I got a very comfortable suite that felt almost like home. The property was not easy to find because it is just one of many entryways in an inner courtyard. The emtryway itself had a nasty smell, but the rest of the property smelled fine.

Stayed in the suite. The staff members were very helpful and spoke fluent English. The breakfast (served to your room when you wanted) was abnormally pleasing. The room was spacious and in decent condition. Please be in mind that this place might get a little tricky to find. You need to enter a door-hole from Mokhovaya Street before seeing the "ART HOTEL" sign. However, the location of this hotel is indeed convenient. There is even a small grocery shop nearby!

Great location to the Center although the entrance is a little hidden. Nice, warm and helpful staffs. Great breakfast tailored to personal needs. Even a fruit bucket for a birthday star!!

Nice hotel close to main tourist locations
Traveling during world-cup and this hotel is a great option. Great location, you can walk to city center. It is safe, rooms are good and offers a nice complementary breakfast. It is located in an internal street and although is difficult to find on your arrival, it is great because it is quiet. It is part of a chain in Russia and definitely i will consider as an option in my next trip to this beautiful city.

Hotel is a little hard to find (it's located behind an alley which took us a while to find) but honestly once we were inside we couldn't help but be impressed by the room, the ambiance, and the service. Breakfast served daily straight to your room with your choice of certain items which they ask you to submit via form the night before. Hotel is situated in a really good overall location.

This hotel is almost impossible to find. There should be a sign on Mokhovaya street explaining the way to this location. Also note that the grand piano in the grand suite is not tuned. Overall staying in this hotel was a good experience though.

Rooms, service, food all great value for money. The Hotel is situated very close to all the main tourist sites. The only downer is that the hotel is a bit difficult to find not being on a road front. the entrance is off an internal court yard in the city block and there is no road front signage.

Staff helped to print something and meet other requests. It was very cool to received the breakfast in the room. For the price I paid (around $US 50) it beat my expectations.

Yes this place is a bit hard to find. But go thru the courtyard access tunnel 50m from the western end of Mokovia St and there she is. Think they would have got a sign up by now. If you arrive by train from Helsinki pay no more than 400 RB by taxi. The train has free wifi so order your uber before you get off. About a 7min ride in light traffic but expect 20 min in peak. Anyway...very clean rooms, relatively quite and lots of good wifi. Bed a bit hard but still comfy. We got the suite (so can't comment on the other rooms) which gave us plenty of room to recover from all the walking we did. Bathroom was modern and very clean with plenty of hot water. Girls on the desk do a great job...on-call 24hrs. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss but included with the room. Gave you enough energy to get out amongst the sites. The great thing about the Art is how close you are to everything. Museums, churches, parks, banks, bars and restaurants. If I am lucky enough to get back to St P then I would stay again.

Convenient hotel in downtown St. Petersburg
It is a tiny hotel inside an old house, it does not have amenities of traditional big hotels, e.g. halls, gyms, restaurants. It is great for those who are considering the hotel pretty much a place to rest and sleep before next day sightseeing or work. It does have pretty much everything for that.

The hotel is very nice but the entrance to the building doesn't smell good. The people is very kindly and you have breakfast to your room every morning. The mattress are not very comfortable. It's very good located. I'm not sure if I recommend this hotel.

Decent place to stay in SPB
Very spacious room (suite) in the heart of SPB, walking distance to many attractions. Entrance is in the courtyard and was difficult to find, but the location guaranteed quiet rooms in a multi-apartment buildings with windows facing the courtyard. Furniture is old, but bed is comfortable with a decent mattress. Bathroom is sparkling clean. Hot water changed intensity the night we checked in, so we were fighting the intermittently hot and cold shower. Breakfast was simple, but ok (better than the usual bagel/scrambled eggs/bacon). Its' delivery to the room right on time - totally rocked!

I agree with many other reviews. The hotel was hard to find; put in the address then walk thru the driveway that is across from the 24 sign, then turn right and you'll see the building. Breakfast was a selection of museli, cereal, hard/soft boiled eggs, sausage/bacon, a few drinks, and you had to submit your order the day before and they'll bring it to your room. If you have a heavy bag, be aware there are stairs. The bed is not comfortable, the room not efficient, cleaning is mediocre. That said, if you plan to site see, the location is convenient. If you just need a place to rest your head for the night, then it's fine.

Stayed for 3 nights. Wonderful hotel, great service, excellent location. It's a little bit hard to find, as other people noted, but the receptionist gave us very precise instructions. Choices of cereal could be wider. Other than that, perfect hotel.

Must Stay
There are so many wonderful things to say about the Art-Hotel. I will start with the very helpful staff. From Alexandra, Anastasia, Diana and Egor each one spoke English and they couldn't be more friendly and helpful.The room was large and well maintained. The breakfast plenty and the location was excellent. There are negatives such as it is almost impossible to find it the first time, but give the taxi driver the telephone number of the Hotel and he will find it. After, not a problem. The biggest negative is it is located in a residential area and the court yard is noisy with the neighbors at night. Simply close the windows and that seems to take care of the problem (if it is too stuffy, they will give you a fan). All in all not only an excellent trip as St Petersburg is lovely the hotel was great place to come "home" to. We were there 9 nights and we highly recommend the Art-Hotel to all travelers.

The hotel was nice and friendly but almost impossible to find. No signs on the street. The shower was dangerous (real quick and unexpected change of cold and boiling hot water). Otherwise friendly stuff and good breakfast.

One of the best hotels out here!
I stayed at the hotel with my sweetheart for 8 nights, it has been a really pleasant experience. Friendly and helpful staff, great selection of breakfast(which is brought directly to the room). Very clean rooms, comfortable. The location is 5 minutes from the main attractions at Saint Petersburgh. The only downside was to initially find the hotel, where specifically it was located, other than side, one of the best hotel experiences I have had in awhile, I would recommend.

We spent 5 nights in the hotel. It is within easy walking distance of Nevsky Prospect and the Hermitage, but a little far from the Mariinsky theatre. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and well looked after. Our room was rather hot though. Some of the staff aren't knowledgeable about local restaurants, but all are helpful with tourist sites and travel arrangements. A good mid-range choice.

What a find! Close to everything.
This charming hotel was enclosed in a block of buildings so it was quiet although in a busy neighborhood. Our taxi had trouble finding it so make sure you have the hotels phone number handy so he can call for directions. It was within walking distance to most all the major sites., even for we two 70 year old women. The neighborhood was safe and had lots of shops, grocery stores, pubs and restaurants. We thought we had hit the jackpot when we entered our beautiful, spacious room (junior suite) after 10 days in a very tiny cabin on a river cruise ship . A generous breakfast was included and served in the room, even at 2 a.m. on our day of departure. Wi-fi was fast and free. Beautiful bathroom with lots of hot water. The English speaking staff were friendly and helpful. They ordered our taxi, got a space heater to take the chill off our room, told us where to eat and gave advice about tourist sights. Only two very minor complaints- no English speaking TV channel. We were starved for news after our river cruise without TV or internet. However, we got it off the internet so not really a problem. The other complaint - no fridge. I love my cold Coca Cola Lite. Loved this hotel! Less than $30 (800 rubles) taxi from the airport or the river cruise port.

Отель сложно найти. Добрые люди подсказали, что во внутренний двор можно попасть через магазин фруктов. Проходите его насквозь и справа наискосок будет подъезд жилого дома, где базируется Отель. Номер просторный. Завтрак приносят в номер в заказанное время - сосиски, яйца, тосты с маслом и джемом, йогурт, мюсли, чай, кофе, сок, молоко. Метро Чернышевская в 12 минутах ходьбы, рядом Михайловский замок и Летний сад, спокойный район, удобный для пеших прогулок по городу

Wunderbares Hotel, sehr zentral und wirklich ruhig gelegen. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, die jederzeit "bereit standen". In der Tat schwer auffindbar. Würde gerne volle Punktzahl vergeben - mit kleiner Einschränkung: sehr hellhörig in meinem Zimmer und man hört alles. Es war aber zu meinem Aufenthalt alles normal ruhig und offenbar wenig Gäste, die sich auch angemessen laut verhielten. Insofern top. Bei größerem Andrang und lauteren Gästen könnte es nerven.
