Some reservations.Posted 11-Mar-2014
Pros: Location, well tended and clean.
Cons: See above
Location: On the beach with beach walkway/promenade. Short drive to St Pete's, Tampa and Clearwater. Some restaurants and bars within walking distance
Requested high floor but on arrival given room 205 on 2nd floor(i.e 1 above ground) although registration card had been made out for room 604 (6th floor). I was given various reasons(excuses) for the change non of which I believed. Room 205 must be worst room in the complex. It has no good views as a palm tree laps the balcony and you cannot see over the other trees. I even tried standing on a chair to see the sunset but without success! It is also near the elevators and therefore suffers from some machine noise and foot traffic. There is a very limited number of umbrellas at the pool, 1 in fact, although free beach chairs and umbrellas are available. Room cleaning is at the end of the stay otherwise it is an extra charge and curiously although towels are changed every 3 days and linen after 7 days this does not happen automatically but has to be scheduled with reception. Also it only happen from Monday through Thursday, so, if like us you arrive on a Wednesday, you have to wait 5 days until Monday to get your towels changed. Overall the complex is well looked after and clean but the above aspecxts let it down and will not allow me to rate it higher. I would go back and recommend it but with reservations.

Pleasant, and a good valuePosted 24-Jan-2014
Pros: Enjoyed being able to walk the beach boardwalk behind the hotels.
Cons: Bathroom floor could have used a little more attention, but was basically clean. Having two suitcase racks would have been handy.
Location: Great location if you are going to do things on Treasure Island, A rather long drive back to Tampa across the bay
If you prefer luxury with upscale furnishings and amenities, this is not for you. But, our one bedroom offered everything we needed and was clean and colorfully decorated. The unit was smaller then some one bedroom condos we have stayed in, but it was adequate for 2 people. The king sized bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Kitchen had dishes to make simple meals, and featured nice granite counter tops. Also had granite counter tops in bathroom, but only one sink and a tub/shower combo. Compared to some of the pricier accomodations on Treasure Island, this was a big improvement over a standard hotel room. As we were only there three days, we didn't use the washer and dryer, but for a longer stay, they'd come in handy. The view from our 4th floor balconey of the beach and ocean was great! The hotel was quiet even though we were told at least one of the nights, it was sold out,.

Pros: Ease of use, everything you could need is there.
Cons: We found the staff sort out problems right away, so there is nothing that could improve our stay
Location: It is central on the coast easy to get to Clearwater and to John's Pass, the Waffle house opposite do a lovely breakfast for $5 a real treat,
If you can get floor, 4, 5 or 6 a better view over the trees, the lower floors are sligthtly blocked view. A bit of a hicup when we first arrived but it was sorted in minutes, great place to stay. it has all you need. just bring your clothes, you must lie in the hamack and have a dose, at 59 I found it so relaxing I fell asleep and my husband had to wake me up.

Perfect location with beautiful views.Posted 14-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
The South Beach Condo Hotel is great for family's or couple's that like it quiet. There is no restaurant or bar at this Hotel/Condo so there are no loud noises associated with such. Make sure you get a room on the 3rd Floor or HIGHER or your ocean view will be obstructed by palm trees. Actually, we were on the 3rd Floor and the room was great but I think the 4th floor would have had a slightly better view. Room was very clean with full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Large Balcony overlooking the ocean. The Pool is a bit small but offers enough space to cool off after being on the beach. John's Pass is only 1 mile away and there are tons of restaurants and bars in both directions. Overall a great place to stay.

Happy to have been stuck at the beachPosted 10-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
We loved it there! Due to bad weather in Dallasour flight was delayed 3 days. Our timeshare we own didn't have a place for us to stay over the extra nights. South Beach took us in and we loved it!
