“Great Hotel for the money!”
Great service and conditions!
“Great restaurant and bar”
Superb housekeeping; I have never left a $50.00 tip in my life; but here it was worth it. rooms were quiet; backing onto a lagoon and condos with live alligators and lots of turtles and birds; the bar is pleasant and reasonably priced although they keep their beer TOO COLD; karaoke every wednesday with small combos mostly western other nights close to two PGA golf courses; within eight blocks; try the cobb salad for a full meal; also poker every monday night; kids will love it; nice pool; lots of room to run and scream.

“Can't wait to go back”
The pictures on the web says it all. Perfect hotel near Honeymoon Island and all gulf beaches (just a short drive to Treasure Island-recommended). My fiance and I wanted a relaxing quick getaway and the hotel was totally clean, affordable and the hospitality was great. The continental breakfast consist of orange juice, strong coffee, danish, muffins and cereal-that's it. So don't expect a lavish buffet. There are restaurants nearby (IHOP and Denny's). We stayed during Memorial weekend and the hotel felt like it was totally ours. The fitness center is not much to brag about-only 3 machines-old out dated equipment-treadmill, universal machine and bike. The pool was small. But, if you are looking for a very clean, comfortable, near all, less crowded hotel this is it!! Definitely will go back again! FYI: The restaurant was still under construction.
“Excellent Quality and Value in a Great location.”
This hotel offered excellent quality and value. The rooms were spacious and very clean. I was pleased with the service and overall convenience and comfort. I would definately return to this hotel.
“This is the best hotel in the area”
I do a lot of business in this area, and I have stayed at most of the hotels and motels within 10 miles or so. The Lake Tarpon is BY FAR the best hotel in the area (with the possible exception of the high dollar Innsbrook Golf Resort - I have never stayed there). Tarpon used to be a Best Western and it was OK then, but better now. The rates are perhaps $20 a night higher than nearby places, but you are getting a much a much better deal. The rooms are huge, each upper floor room has a private balcony overlooking the lake, and the place, while not perfect, is kept in much better condition than any other hotel within 10 miles of here. Only shortcomings are no refrigerators and/or microwaves in the rooms, and the restaurant (under new management as Hemingway's now) is rarely open when you want it during the day. But take my word for it, please, other places may sound good in their promos and look good in their photos, and may be slightly cheaper, but you would be a lot better off here.
“Beautiful view on Lake Tarpon”
I was a little nervous about staying at a Best Western. I've seen some that have looked pretty run down during other travels. I was very pleasantly surprised when we reached our hotel. The hotel is right on a main road and very easy to locate. Check in was a breeze, which was great since we arrived very late. Our room was larger than I expected as well. There was actually a lot of space. We opted for the king bed which left tons of extra room for our luggage and eventually our beach towels and swim suits to dry off. Each room had a huge balcony overlooking Lake Tarpon and the pool area. The price for the room was a steal for the beautiful view. I don't think there was a bad view in the hotel. The hotel is pretty centrally located with a grocery store and drug store within minutes.
“Very nice!”
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel...although we did not use the hotel restaurant, the room itself was big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We would stay at this hotel again next time we are in this area.

All rooms face the bay. Staff friendly and helpful. No complaints here at all.
