“Caraibes Beach Hotel”

Although there were road signs, it was a challenge and took some time to find the hotel. The best beach I have ever waled is less then a minute walk from the hotel. Free beach chairs and umbrellas are reserved for the hotel guests at the beach. The room were I stayed was very clean ( and was cleaned daily ), bed made and clean towels delivered every morning. All in all, for the great location and price, I would stay at the Caraibes Beach Hotel again.

“Beautiful Beachside Villa on Baie Oreintal”

Beautiful villa / condo, close to the beach. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Pool is smallish but it didn't matter cause we never used it as the most beautiful beach in all of St Maarten was a very short and pleasant boardwalk stroll away. The tiny town of Orient Bay is a 5 minute walk. Small store, restaurants all you need. Only drawback, relatively minor was the low water pressure in the mornings. Suggest management install a cistern to even the reliability and functionality of the water supply.. again very minor. Strongly suggest you consider this facility for your next stay.

“Absolutely wonderful place for anyone and everyone”

It is a most wonderful hotel and the manager , Mr. Gerard, who is a French man is really helpful, courteous and warm. He made it a point to remember my name and to greet me each morning. Though it is about 40-45 minutes driving time from the airport and the taxi costs between US$30-35 dollars to get there, the privacy and quiet of the place more than makes up for the inconvenience and cost of the taxi ride. It is within 3 minutes to the Orient Bay beach and 8 minutes to the famous Orient Bay Club where full nudity is allowed there and no where else in the island. Naturalists or nudists flock there where they seem so at one with nature. Therefore be prepared to see folks either topless or wearing their birthday suit if you decide to walk there. Beware though, no photography is allowed on that side of the beach, i.e. within the nudist beach area. There is a village within 5 minutes walk from the hotel where you can find food and also a grocery shop. By the way, there is full kitchen facilities at the hotel which is more like a guesthouse and so you can cook there. One last thing,you can ask Mr Gerard to help rent a car for you which I did for about US$35 a day (24 hours) with insurance inclided. Without a vehicle,it is difficult to get around the island. I recommend this hotel 100% to anyone wishing a quiet holiday by the beach. Thanks Gerard for your good service.

“So convenient....”

Great hotel. Right on the beach. Literally a 100 yards to Orient Beach. Staff was friendly. Maid service was impeccable - really. They even washed our dishes!! The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the small town center (grocery store, 6 restaurants - all good!, beauty shop, health aid store....). The only negative thing I would have to say would be the beds. For us, they were too firm. But we made do and took all of the cushions from the loveseat and chair and stuffed them under the mattress pad, re-made the bed and slept quite soundly all week.

Convient to the beach. Desk staff was helpful & friendly. The room lacked daily replenishment of supplies. Close to restaurants which are expensive.

“Meets Expectations-”

Very good value for the Expedia rate. Comfortable rooms with quite a bit of space. Hotel service, especially during check-in (which amounted to an orientation) was above expectations. Less than 30 second walk to the beach & bar. The only downfall to the area is the lack of atm/cash machine, even in Orient Village. Literally had to drive 20 minutes for extra money.

“Enjoyed our stay!”

Easy acccess to a beautiful beach. Comfortable room in nicest part of the island. Fixing a few roofs in the service area would improve the view from the balcony. Very friendly desk staff.Glad we didn't stay on the Dutch side where the overdevelopment is rampant. Wish the hotel could give out more info on events and music in the area and would stock a US paper. A list of who has music on what night would be great. TV only got one station sporadically if the satellite was in a good mood! Overall though, a lovely restful stay!

“Upgraded”

When we arrived we were told that our requested room (guaranteed ocean view) in Cap Caraibes was not available and that we had been upgraded to the adjacent Caribbean Princess resort. Our rooms there (2 bedroom/2 bath, full kitchen, huge balcony, etc.) were well beyond our expectation.

“Great Place!!!!”

We have always stayed at Cap Caribes and have never had a bad experiance. The staff is always helpful and friendly, even if they can't always get you exactly what you want.Perfect access to all the beach activities.Just got back last week,slow season,so alot of our favorite resturants were closed for the season but beach eateries were wonderful, just hadto eat early. Hope to be back again soo. My favorite place!!!!
