“Our 10th visit to St. Martin-Loved it at Hotel Le Domaine”
This was our 10t visit to St. Martin and it is still our favorite place. We have been to Europe as well as several Islands. The hotel was great! Beautiful grounds, great service, clean rooms and friendly staff. The beach was nice. The sand was not as white as I would expect, but still very nice. We had our 4 year old daughter and the staff was great with her. The complimentary breakfast was super. The lunches and dinners are pricey but very tastey. Please remember this is a European Hotel-not American. Very short drive 5 minutes to Grande Case and to Orient Beach. We would definitely stay here again.
“Perfect place - will go back again”
One of the best places I stayed. I am currently recommending it to all my friends.
“Hidden Gem!”
With it's own beach, on a pretty bay off the beaten track the hotel sits in gorgeous grounds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a fun bathtub that two can share (we did!). I like the fact that the area is still relatively unspoilt compared to the south of the island. Hire a car if you want to get to the restaurants in Grand Case and the best snorkel areas - don't even think about walking or hiring bikes - you'll understand when you see the hill! Great place for exploring the nearby islands of St Bart's and Anguilla. Definitely going back.
“Hidden treasure in paradise”
As a single traveler I found exactly what I was looking for, rest and relaxation. April is low season, hotel was not crowded. The resort felt like home with the added amenities and prompt service. The beach is private and well hidden between two mountains with an incredible view of Anguilla. Room was cozy and bright with lots of light shining through in the morning. Very spacious. “Le Domaine-Beautiful jewel on Anse Marcel”
We stayed for 8 nights recently at Le Domaine. Pros: 1) Beautiful hotel and grounds, immaculate lawn and gardens, 2) nice strip of beach, beautiful water, nice lounge chairs and umbrella 3) nice staff; 4) OK restaurant and beach bar 5) nice pool 6) nice balcony So-So: room was spartan, far from water, water from shower accumulated on floor as curtain did not contain the spray, housekeeping does not understand the sign on the door (do not disturb) Cons: Prices in restaurant and bar too high; we were not aware of the resort fees and taxes to be paid at check-out (OUCH!) as we thought we had paid in full thru Expedia vacations; drive over the hill and back each time we left Anse Marcel for a meal or for the day OK, so we wanted a week of R&R and WOW! did we get it. With rain 50% of the daytime we were there, we had a lot of time to do nothing, literally. TV had about 10 channels. I brought 10 books and finished 7. We went to eat in Grand Case 5 nights and enjoyed our time there. We explored other beaches and did a bit of shopping. It was so beautiful when it was not raining that we actually talked about returning...met some nice couples who return each year at this time. I don't know, though. I'm sure the rest of the Carribean islands have some nice views and good hotels and food...... We'll see. If you decide to go, do your homework, read Tr Adv reviews too. Over and out from Nashville, TN.
“Le Domaine is a Great Hotel”
The staff are very nice, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is a bit secluded so if you are looking to get away to a nice quiet, classy, pocket of St. Martin, this is it. Really can't think of anything negative to say about this hotel. It is a great place for a couple to get away for a weekend.
“Pure paradise”
The hotel exceeded our expectations on all levels. Can't describe how wonderful the breakfast was everyday, set in their restaurant right against the beach. Delicious food and great service. Beach was beautiful, clean, and not overcrowded. Small marina next to hotel had shop for iincidentals and two very tasty more casual restaurants. Probably would not have rented a car for our entire stay if I had to do over again...hotel was so nice we never wanted to leave!!
“Private Paradise”
This hotel is so gorgeous, with its own private beach in Anse Marcel cove. The service is amazing, they even figured it out it was my dad's birthday and brought him a gift. The rooms are so pretty with Bulgari products. I loved it!
“Can't wait to go back”
Escaping from NY's cold, La Domaine was the perfect solution. Beautiful beach with quiet staff that stays out of your way but is happy to help in any way. The gym instructor is amazing, she put together 4 days of incredible workouts for us - worth more than my overpriced NY trainer.
“Would go back in a heartbeat!”
Great hotel and staff. Quiet and laid back. Not too many people when we were there--late April-Early May. Grounds were quite pretty with palms and flowers and pastel gingerbready buildings. Pool very nice. Not a kids pool...no shallow end...did have small wading-type pool for little kids...Beach was excellent and very pretty! Surrounded by desert-looking hills and always a few sailboats and catamarans anchored. Pretty calm water and plenty of shallow area before getting deep. Nice cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas to use. Just enough breeze to cool you a little, but not so you couldn't talk comfortably or have to worry about your things being blown around. Don't count on the water toys they mention--just a few kids toys and a couple snorkel/fin sets. Breakfast buffet, included with room, was great. Unless you don't mind high prices, skip the hotel beach bar and restaurant. Food and service good, but prices quite high. We recommend renting a car and going off property for food. Be warned--we found that many places, restaurants and stores, close for several hours during mid-day....All in all, would stay at Le Domaine again in a heartbeat!
