“Wonderful experience at Holland House”
Hotel decor and view were much nicer when viewed in person - this place offered basic amenities with class. Check in was easy and the staff was great - very friendly and helpful. Pay the extra money for the ocean view - it was amazing to wake up and have coffee on the balcony overlooking the bright blue bay each morning while relaxing lounge music emanated from the bar / restaurant area below. Hearing the ocean waves at night was another bonus. While cheaper food and drink may be obtained elsewhere in Phillipsburg, you should try the open air Holland House restaurant as well as the bar & outdoor lounge during your stay at least a few times. Breakfast overlooking the bay is key. The room was perfect for a couple - the hotel, bar, and restaurant staff and ambiance helped make it a very romantic stay. Lots of shopping in the area, but for beach-goers on a several-day stay, walk a few blocks down to the Taxi stand and check out other areas of the island - Orient Point, which also boasts a nude beach, is a great place for a day visit. The beach next to Princess Juliana airport is a fantastic place for sunset cocktails or frozen concoctions. All in all, we really enjoyed the hospitality and our short stay!!
“Quite good) worth to be in”
HHBH has quite good location, all shops and restaurants are nearby. The beach is clean, no problem to find there free chair and umbrella. The ony (a little bit) sad thing - too much time to be served at HHBH bar, more than 30-40 minutes to wait.

Found the hotel clean and friendly. The 4 nights was not long enough. Planing on going back someday.

We have to recommend the Holland House Beach Hotel in all areas. The room was advertised as king size and really was! It was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food great. With the room overlooking the sunset its without doubt the best hotel on the boardwalk.
“Très accueillant et idéalement placé”
Superbe chambre (avec vue sur mer) qui dégage une atmophère très "zen". Le lit est immense et très confortable et les tons de la décoration sont blanc et marron foncé. On retrouve ces couleurs blanc et bois dans le restaurant et les petits salons sur la plage. Des voiles de coton et des parasols blancs eux protègement du soleil couchant l'après-midi... Seul petit hic : aucune place de parking à proximité, l'hôtel étant situé dans la rue commerçante (front street) de Philipsburg où il est impossible de se garer. Il faut donc marcher un peu pour rejoindre sa voiture que l'on laisse sagement au bout de la rue. Très beaux tableaux dans le hall d'accueil et excellents "frozen drinks" à savourer en guettant le "rayon vert" au moment où le soleil disparait à l'horizon.
“Great View! Great Food! Great Location! What's not to like?”
This is our first visit to Holland House Beach Hotel. It is located in the heart of Philipsburg. Philipsburg from my understanding is the capital to the Dutch side. There are so many beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurant's, and of course duty free shops everywhere. There are two sides to the island; French and the Dutch. The Holland House Beach Hotel is very chic. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the price was great. The hotel's street entrance is situated off of Front Street which is a one way street. The rooms are large and have a very comfortable bed with a mini fridge, Coffee maker, LCD TV, ample lighting, Air Conditioning, and best off all a view of Great Bay and the Boardwalk.Since it was the low season only one cruise ship was docked, and was very low traffic on the beach and in the stores. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Sang's Super Center grocery store is a very short 3-5 minute walk from the hotel, right accross from Bobby's Marina just follow the boardwalk and cross the street from the gas station at the end. Since bottle water is so expensive in the restruants we stocked up at the grocery store were its cheap (about $5 bucks for a weeks worth). There was a nice breakfast menu and the outdoor dining/lounge over looking the ocean is hard to beat. The beach is right at your doorstep. Everything closes a little after sunset, except for a few restaurants and bars around the quite streets. But after dark... you need to be in Maho Bay!
“Definitely a do-over.”
I really enjoyed every minute at the Holland House Beach Hotel, from check-in untill check-out; friendly staff, great service. The vieuw from my balcony was very nice. I would sure book this hotel again. Ooo and the island itself, hmmmmmmm definetly a do-over.
“Beautiful views from the balcony”
Holland House was a beautiful and modern hotel in heart of Phillipsburg. Parking was the only issue, but wouldn't deter us from staying there again. The rooms were clean and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the pillows superb! (We even found out who made them and ordered them within 2 days upon our return home). The balcony views were amazing.

Hotel accommodations were wonderful. Holland House sits right on the beach so I'd recommend a beachfront room. The hotel staff were warm and friendly.
