Recreation

At the resort's front, a blunt promontory separates two beaches. One is a shallow 1.5-km (1-mi) strip washed by the Caribbean Sea to the resort's seawall, above which are cushioned lounge chairs under thatched shades and seagrape trees. The other is a deeper, 200-m (219-yd) stretch furnished with lounge chairs and umbrellas that also includes an area with hammocks and cushioned lounge chairs. Atop the promontory is a 9-by-3.75-m (29-by-12-ft) pool with a sea view from a 9.25-m (30-ft) bluff.

Use of snorkeling gear, floats, pedal boats, and kayaks is complimentary, as is an introductory water-skiing lesson and use of the resort's lighted, artificial-grass tennis court, which has a basketball hoop. “We Loved It”

It was perfect for us. Beautiful view of the water and sailboats from the room. Very quiet and relaxing beach. Water desk for those that want to snorkle, water ski, etc. Nice Sunset Cafe that is right on the water with a cheerful staff. Hotel staff very helpful and pleasant. 5 minute walk to all the Grand Case French restaurants. Yummy.

“Very impressed!”

The staff at the Grand Case Beach Club were extremely accomodating. The first night we spent on two double beds even though our reservation called for a king size bed. When alerted of this their response was that they cannot guarantee the beds but they would do their best to accomodate us. The remainder of out trip were spent on a king sized bed. The Sunset Cafe was stupendous. Selections from their breakfast, lunch and dinner menu were outstanding. I woud highly recommend this place and would not hesistate in returning there. Walking distance to main part of town where many outrageous restaurants could be found.

“Nice Hotel with Great Food”

With the exception of not being able to get anything to eat when we checked in after 10PM, the hotel was great. This is not a 5 star or even a 4 star. However, the place well kept, the rooms are nice size and were kept very clean. As for the food the continental breakfast very nice plus it can be supplemented off the menu. Lunch and dinner are OUTSTANDING FRENCH COOKING. We only stayed for 5 nights but had a great time. Enjoy!

“fantastic escape!”

This is the perfect place to relax. From the calm turquoise water to the sea grape tree shade, all you need is a good book, a cold drink and the willingness to let all your troubles disappear.

“Very enjoyable place to stay”

We spent a week here in May 2009 and found to be a great place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly, and the views are great. The grounds are very well kept, with many nice trees, flowering plants, and shrubs. The Sunset Cafe (restaurant/bar) serves very good food and is no more expensive than other local eateries. The included breakfast consists of a couple rolls and baguettes along with coffee and orange juice, so if you're used to a substantial breakfast you may want to order something or cook in your room. GCBC is only a couple minute walk from restaurant row in Grand Case. We felt like the area is very safe.

“Just small enough to have everything”

The hotel offers lots of great activities and is close enough to the village of Grand Case so that one never gets bored with the food. The breakfast room is overlooking the beach and the beach is immaculately clean and attractive. Intimate yet sociable. A great kept secret...

“A little piece of paradise!”

A dynamite room on the waterfront, excellent & friendly service, nice beaches, close to dozens of incredible restaurants, quiet. Nothing to do but relax, sit on the beach & eat great food. What more could you ask for? A problem with the original room (location and construction noise)was taken care of with no hassle. We were very pleased.

“The view from our room was absolutely beautiful!”

The hotel upgraded our room to a two bedroom unit and it was wonderful. So much space! We had no complaints about the room. We did think the food at the restaurant was way over priced. We ate some meals in our room using our fantastic kitchen to save money. The free continental breakfast was just bread and juice but it was served to you at the restaurant right on the water, again the view was beautiful. The beach is very small and quiet. The water was warm and the waves were just right to use the free float mats which were a lot of fun.

“Just as good as last time!”

We stayed at the GCBC in late fall of 2007, and enjoyed St. Martin, the town of Grand Case and the hotel so much, we decide to return in January 2010. Things were equally enjoyable this time around, though the Caribbean water didn't cooperate quite so well - it was slightly cloudy this time, hurting the snorkeling opportunities - certainly not the hotel's fault. GCBC has added Wi-Fi in some areas of the resort (not in the rooms yet) since we last visited, which was a nice upgrade. We would definitely return again.

“Fantastic hotel and trip”

St. Marting was exactly the trip we were hoping for and the Grand Case Beach Club was a huge part of that experience. What you see in the photos is what you get! The hotel is exceptionally clean and has new kitchens and bathrooms. Our room was right on the beach--a beach that is only used by hotel guests at Grand Case (Petite Plage has public access, but still not crowded at all). The Sunset Cafe on the hotel property is fabulous and the hotel is a 5 minute walk to Grand Case village and a 15-20 minute bus ride to Marigot. I absolutely fell in love with this place and will be going back next year for sure!
