This building should have been condemned. It is dirty, unhygienic, nothing works - the staff don’t care and lie. Some very dodgy permanent tenants. There is nothing good to say - DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The rooms were disgustingly dirty and the staff “double booked” our room. When we returned from an evening out, our property had been stolen from our luggage that was left in the room.

Location is what you're paying for
Great location! Condition of hotel and the cleanliness is not ideal for 200$ a night. Staff was friendly and within walking distance to the arch. Pool was nice as well! We had the 16th floor but the windows were caked with dirt you couldn't enjoy the view.

Old, dirty and house keeping was non existent. We had two towels for four people. Called for extra towels never received them. Called again in the morning and still never received them. Waiting for four hours for our infant crib. Finally made it up at midnight after several calls. Thank goodness it was only a one night stand.

staff was very friendly and attentive. our two bedroom suite was roomy. however, you do get what you pay for. We had an excellent location for walking to the things we wanted to do...busch stadium, arch. the property is old and needs updates. if it had these, we would have paid much more and we realize that. living room furniture and carpet didn't feel clean though I think they were as clean as they could be, given the old, well-used pieces and carpet. Also, we had a suite with a kitchen, but i think it's arguable to call it a kitchen when it did not have a heat source besides a microwave, and no dishes, utensils, paper towel or soap, and no place to actually sit and eat except a desk or couch. Also, the room could technically sleep 6 (king, queen, pull-out full) but there was max seating for 5 (which we had), so we always had someone seated on the floor or three squished on the couch. We needed more towels, soap, bedding (for the pullout couch), cups (only given 2) and a hairdryer (not standard in the rooms), but all of these were provided upon request and all the staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating. The bed was neat, clean, generally comfortable. There was a shortage of hot water for some of our showers, but not all, seemed hit or miss.

I have never written a review. We have stayed in downtown St. Louis many times at older hotels and we have always found them to be clean and completely suitable. This hotel was fine upon entering. However, our room was not clean (trash left in trash cans, etc), the tub had a constant stream of water leaking, there were two holes in the walls with electrical wiring exposed, and the hotel hair dryer caught on fire...it was very old, and not clean. We were very disappointed especially given the price. We will not stay there again.

Okay, the location is excellent to the ARCH (next door) and a few blocks from Busch Stadium. The hotel is dated, the restaurant is closed for future reservations, and the carpet is worn. However the rooms were fairly clean, the linens crisp on the beds, the air conditioner worked better than it looked! For the price it was a good hotel and I would stay there again.

I was not informed of the charges for parking ahead of time, which was $20 a day. There was trash and linen all down the halls. No breakfast, no wifi. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

Still needs some updating but a great place to stay for a ballgame! Beds very comfortable! Kevon at front desk very accommodating and friendly! Wayne , security staff was friendly and kind enough to walk me back to the car to get something I had forgotten after dark! Room clean, love the balcony!!!

Filthy, dirty towel left in room, broken/no hot water handle on sink. Water dripped in tub continually. We had no wash clothes left in room. We did not even bath there it was gross! No snacks or bar. They stated restaurant was under construction. Ice on only 2 floors. Broken escalator. Never again!

This place needs to be closed & full gut job. Its disgusting. No one should stay here!!!!!The restaurant & bar are both closed. No maintenance on duty. The linen closet door knobs are destroyed. The Ice makers are broken. It looks like it was closed 10+ years ago & someone just turned the power on & took over. They need to close it until they can address everything.

There were no towels in the room (other than the used one on the back of the bathroom door), used bar of soap in the shower, no soap in lobby bathroom, holes in the walls, the carpet was dirty, couches were stained. Overall, it was a dump.

We stayed at this hotel due to the proximity of the Baseball park. The hotel is a bit dated and could use a total renovation. The “free “ Wifi signal was so weak we could not connect in our room. Several of the TV stations had very poor reception, particularly the sports channels.

I booked a suite for my boyfriend's birthday. I ignored most reviews about rude staff, filthy rooms, etc. But I shouldn't have. When we walked in, we didn't get a hello, hi, welcome, nothing. There was no valet around. The staff at the desk didn't stop their conversation while we were checking in. Talked to other staff but not us. The lounge is closed. Elevator was dirty and had graffiti scratches in the window. The hallway smells dirty and is all scratched up. The carpet in our room is dirty. You can see where the furniture has always been and ty he carpet has a large top in it. The are dead bugs by the bedside table. The kitchen area is empty. Not even a garbage. The fridge is broken inside. There is great splatters on wall and outlet cover. The bathroom toilet paper holder is broken. The ceiling in the sitting area and bedroom has water damage and looks like it's going to cave in. The ac is awful. It's too warm in here. The worse part is that this wad booked as a gift and all I can do is complain. I would expect some sort of refund. I booked 2 nights, but I would rather go stay at a super 8.

Found the Hotel very charming. My room was excellent with amazing view of the Arch and river. Only negative of trip is that the hotel over charged me. I had to cancel first night due to airline cancellation. I was charged for three nights instead of the two that i actually stayed. Working on that now.

The AC needs some work was barely comfortable. There were no hand towels or washclothes in the bathroom. There wasn't a slip proof surface in the shower. The grate over the AC was loose. The staff was very nice and polite.

The location of the hotel was great, condition was not. Unfortunately it was the only hotel in this area that offered a suite in my price range. The suite was large, and the beds were comfortable; however, there were no blankets on the beds, just 3 sheets. There were no linens provided for the sofa bed. The carpet was in desperate need of replacing. The furniture was out dated and dirty. Whole suite needs painting. The second bathroom was extremely small with a tiny, little shower stall that had an odd faucet about a foot off the floor. Tile in the shower was cracked and the grout was moldy. There was a place for the toilet paper to hang but the rod was missing, so you had to leave it on the counter. The best part of the pool area was the view. There was only one table with 3 chairs. The lounge chairs were dirty and missing straps, so we were afraid to sit on them. The restaurant was closed due to renovations. Hopefully they continue to renovate the rest of the property when they finish with the restaurant.

First room was not clean and the key card worked but turning the handle didn't open the door. They got us a second room without any fuss which was nice but the overall quality of the hotel was not good. We heard several other guests complaining about their rooms, too.

The property was mediocre. The rooms didn’t have remotes for the tv. The table in our room had residue of something sticky. However the hotel was right downtown so made it easy to get around and enjoy St. Louis. The customer service we received was also a plus.

Older hotel really needs a facelift and the housekeeping was terrible hardly no towels no toilet paper and never left us no shampoo etc we had to ask and when I said my concerns there was no rush or not even concerned next time it will not be staying here
